Re: NHL10 Gripes/Bugs/Glitches Thread

During the first game of my Red Wings Be a GM, Bill Clement started talking about Chris Chelios, who isn't even on the roster, let alone on the ice. Ive also had 2-3 game freezes, once while trying to enter practice mode (during the loading screen) and another during an intermission when I pressed the PS button to check what time it was. As far as actual gameplay bugs, I haven't really seen anything out of the ordinary.

With all the new goalie animations, I find it pretty silly how they just stay on all fours the whole time after they cover the puck. They should stand up and flip the puck to the ... oh, wait.

Re: NHL10 Gripes/Bugs/Glitches Thread

Some nice upgrades from last year. But two issues that still remain with the offline gameplay:

1. It's still way too easy to gain the CPU blueline. The CPU defense just backup to the net while the CPU forwards casually skate behind you, chasing but making no attempt to check.

2. The tic-tac-toe, lightning-quick tape-to-tape perimeter passing by the CPU after gaining your blueline is still present as ever. And the CPU pass accuracy slider has no affect as this appears hard-coded into the programming. Also, it doesn't matter if it's the first line or the fourth -- even with the attributes slider maxed, all CPU players pass like they're Marc Savard. This is particularily disappointing given I was hoping these new sliders would help with this. That and the fact it happens every other rush -- if it wasn't the primary offensive strategy of every CPU team, I could probably live with.

Scoring on All Star is really difficult for me. I can score 1-2 goals per game with 9 minute periods on All Star. I decided to play one game on pro as Buffalo v. Detroit and I beat them 10-1! WTF?

There's a slider to adjust goalie difficulty.

That's exactly what I was just going to suggest. I don't see why they wouldn't be able to add that in via patch either, here's hoping..

Maybe it's annoying in online but I hope that they don't change it's effectiveness in offline play - it's PERFECT this year. Last year was just a total stick lifting fest, both offline and online but this year I find you actually need to think about what you're doing as stick lifts and even body contact just don't do the job every time like they did in the past.

Played a guy online, he quit after 2 periods, and I got nailed with the 3-0 loss.

Also the reason he quit is because I scored on a 200 foot dump in. I guess that counts as a bug too.

Having issues with after play cut-scenes.

A player is almost always sitting on the other teams bench.

EX. I changed lines after a whistle and it went to a cut scene showing Campoli of the Senators on the Leafs bench.

Re: NHL10 Gripes/Bugs/Glitches Thread

Couple small things I noticed. In be a gm the task of creating .500 to 1,000,000 cap room thru doing a trade doesn't seem to be working I've done it more than once and it doesn't seem to recognize it. In BAP the stats are sometimes screwed up. I'm a goalie and it will mess up simple things like saying I had four shootout saves when I actually had 5. One other thing that bothers me not a glitch or anything is how the goalie equipment you need to unlock has retarded goals attached to them. For example: to get the bomber pads and bomber trapper is easy but to get the bomber blocker you have to win the frickin Stanley cup in the 7th game in triple overtime. Ok I'm exagerating a bit. Why would I want any of it unless I can have the whole set. Seems like a cheesy way of making me purchase it with Microsoft points.

Re: NHL10 Gripes/Bugs/Glitches Thread

anyone else notice that you can't get more than 15 penalty minutes in a game on BAP. it seems to max out at 14. last game i had 2 inteference penalties, 1 roughing, and 3 fights and still only registered 14. i know i take a lot of penalties, but i was shooting for a game misconduct to see if i could get one. don't know if it's possible. other gripe is i have seen 3 or 4 goals scored from the blue line and 1 from the red line. it's the same goalie animation each time. the shooter looks like he is making a saucer pass and for whatever reason the goalie doesn't move over far enough. still a great game though
