Re: NHL10 Gripes/Bugs/Glitches Thread

Agree about stats/gametime as you cant expect to have real stats with 5 min periods.

Huge questions does anyone know how to avoid have non fighters fighting as I like the scrum but dont like the Cpu always getting my stars that dont fight, fighting Im sure Im doing something wrong as its hard to tell whos going at it before its a fight ? but I do have cpu teamates penalty slider maxed out
Thanks in advance for any help , could have sworn there was a option fighters only ?

Re: NHL10 Gripes/Bugs/Glitches Thread

My gripes (against CPU opponent)-

1) Players pick cross-slot passes off too easily. They should bat or kick away passes across the slot rather than perfectly intercepting it. It seems that when a CPU player picks off a slot pass, they are able to again pass it to a teammate immediately, as if they gain perfect control right away. Slower cross-slot passes could be picked off like a normal pass, however quick/harder passes need to be batted or poked out.

2) CPU passes the puck flawlessly. 99% of the time it is a perfect tape-tape pass with perfect speed. Their passes should be as sloppy and imperfect as human players.

3) CPU passes way too often and are too hard to pick off. Sometimes two teammates will pass back and forth over and over again. The CPU needs to take more shots and set up more realistic plays. The CPU needs to take more risks- too many of the passes are to players who are open but not in good offensive position. The CPU needs to execute plays and shoot the puck more quickly. Also, depending on the player type/skill, players should more often try and deke/skate around defenders rather than making a perfect tape-tape pass to a nearby or poorly positioned teammate.

4) CPU is afraid to cross the blue line, often times they'll pass back and forth inside the neutral zone if your players are on/near them. If there is no opening to cross the blue line, they should dump it (which they do well) or they should pass back to their defensive zone to try and spread out the players more.

5) CPU seems to often have superior puck control over the human player. The slightest nudge from a CPU opponent knocks the puck loose, while a hard check from a human player usually only gives them a little bump without losing puck possession

6) CPU opponents are far too elusive and player agility (human and CPU) is too high. They swerve, stop, and turn around on the stop of a dime, almost always resulting in a missed check.

7) Poke checks and stick lifts are broken. Too often well executed pokes/lifts do not work, or draw penalties. I understand that poorly executed pokes/lifts deserve a miss or a penalty, but when in proper position many times a stick will poke right through the puck as if the puck was a hologram.

8) Post-whistle play time needs to be shortened. Pressing or holding the "A" button should right away skip to the replay or face-off.

9) In order to fake shot/leg kick, you should have to hold LT just like when spinning or doing one-handed dekes. Personally, I leg kick way too many times on accident.

Those are all the gripes I can think of right now...

post whistle scrums need to be shortened time was.

the play stops and these scrums last waaaaaaaay to long. they need to be set to around 3-5 seconds and then cut scene.

no need for them to be longer imo..

Re: NHL10 Gripes/Bugs/Glitches Thread

Can someone with PS3 please confirm that Petri Koskinen of Saipa freezes up the system completely. I've posted it in few sites but I never get any replies, so if you guys have no problem with him on PS3 then I'd better go and replace my game.

He freezes at any roster movements screen except for edit lines unless you try to open his profile.

Re: NHL10 Gripes/Bugs/Glitches Thread

I have played only about 5 games but I also had the "stuck" player on the boards occur in at least 3 of those games. I would be frantically cycling through my other players and I could never get control of the player "stuck" on the boards. I even immediately went to instant replay to validate what I had just seen. I played a lot of NHL09 and I don't remember that problem. This is a new one and very aggravating. This bug has cost me several goals already. Is anyone else seeing this besides myself and one of the previous posters?

I just got called for roughing after the whistle by poke checking the goalie who had covered the puck and froze it.... WTF?!

Re: NHL10 Gripes/Bugs/Glitches Thread

I'd like to see the post whistle scrums be patched so that all the players converge on the two players who start pushing and shoving. I think this would look much better than the 5 1v1s going on post whistle. I am also tired of the two glitch goals that I see all day long . . . and I am not going to describe them so that spread is prevented. Goalies need a little more tuning.
