If the whistle blows when you have possession of the puck in the opponents end then shoot the puck at the goalie or in the net and the defensemen will shove you repeatedly and about half the time they get a roughing penalty for it. The other half of the time they'll be coincedental minors or nothing happens. It's a cheap way to get a powerplay if you're behind late in the game although I would rather it not be in there.

San Jose to tie, SAME THING. I can't see anything because my goalie somehow switched ends, ez goal for them. Luckily, I managed to score and win.

That really sucked.
very big glitch. lost a game earlier becasue of it

Definitely a flaw here. As a workaround you can set the Post Whistle Rules to "Anything Goes" then you shouldn't be able to do this, though at the expense of no post-whistle penalties at all.

I had a game freeze in Battle for the Cup. First time its happened in as long as I can remember in an EA NHL game (07-10).

I'm on my 2nd disk tonight and still getting the unreadable disk error at the same place in the game. I wonder if wal mart will believe it's happened to me on two disks in less than 2 hours?

Anyone else noticed sliders setting saves not being saved properly auto and manual ???
This really getting to be a problem unless im doing something wrong with gamestyle but even sometimes my camera perspective even changes ?

If it's "authentic" post-whistle rules we're after, a player shooting the puck at the goalie (or any player) after whistle would be assessed a two-minute minor for unsportsmanlike conduct. This would eliminate the problem of drawing an easy PP. However, you'd have to have a small window to account for unexpected whistles.

I'm going to sticky this to be our bug/glitch thread. Please remember to be as specific as possible when describing your issue.

Some things to include: game mode, settings changes, any unusual circumstances or user input (eg, "I pressed shot fake 37 consecutive times then my guy froze. WTF!?!" ). Thank you.

Re: NHL10 Gripes/Bugs/Glitches Thread

Not an achievement whore but I played five games using the NHL 94 control scheme and I wasn't awarded the achievement for doing so....

Yes, it is a small thing but achievements should unlock...That is why they are there.

Outside of that, the game is fricking awesome...The NHL 94 controls took me back to the day. Felt like playing NHL 94 with awesome graphics....I wish EA would have included that version in the game....

I also agree with this. When playing online, I will play someone who wants to scrum every chance they get. I refuse to get involved fearing a penalty. The end result typically ends up as coincidental minors.

I would prefer, online anyway, that if an online user wants to rough after the play, that they get assessed a penalty and not the player who refuses....

Just a thought....

Two things that need attention:

1) Shootouts - I thought that the skater had to maintain one continuous motion. I get guys that skate in, stand there, circle the net...It is stupid...

2) Poke checks in online play are too effective....WAY TOO EFFECTIVE
