First off the attributes. For online it takes something like 2 times as many points to level up wrist shot accuracy as it does power. I'm having some trouble just having shots be deflected off the edge of the blocker or not getting it quite above the glove. I like to get it in the mid-high slot and shoot the corners, if I can move one way and shoot the other, etc.
My options are (i think):
3 in accuracy, 1 in power
2 in accuracy, 3 in power
1 in accuracy, 5 in power
0 in accuracy, 7 in power
Then for the sticks.... The default flex for the shaft has a better star rating in all categories than the alternatives, although the voice tip says for instance that stiffer sticks make for stronger slap shots regardless of the contradicting star ratings. Which one do I believe? Should I go with the more flexible stick which the voice says is better for wrist shots or should go with the ratings?
Likewise the voice contradicts itself with the blade curvature tip, saying the most curved stick gives you more accuracy and lift, but also makes your accuracy unpredictable. I guess that's not really a contradiction, but its a little hard to figure exactly what it means. Maybe that its capable of being more accurate, but less consistant...meh
This isn't as big of a concern for me, but I thought it was weird. I think I'll still take the top stick blade.
I'm going to try this all out but there are so many mixes and matches and none are supposed to make a huge difference, but any advantage is appreciated by me. Thanks.
-and any tips on scoring with wristers online vs computer goalies? I'm getting relatively low in the slot, trying to get the goalie to move if I can, but I'd think more shots would go in. They just seem so perfect to me, I'm shooting like 10 shots a game and average .25 goals. Almost all NHLers, even bad ones will shoot MUCH better than 2.5%
