Home Win Game Not Working Properly

I'm using HawkeyMediaPlus's sound pack and I noticed there's a "Home Win Game" music option in the game. A lot of teams use the goal horn after the home team wins a game. So I decided, hey, why not use the goal horn for that spot.

That's why I'm here now. For some reason, it would still play the default music (the team's generic goal horn). Then it would play the song I had entered under the Home Win Game option. So there would be multiple horns (my custom one, and the default one), running through the 3 Stars announcements. I figured I'd cut my losses and just have it be the default music, but then sometimes it doesn't even play (and yes, I won the game ). Any one else having this issue? And any ideas on how to get it to work right?

Keep the custom horn selection at DEFAULT; that's the only way around it that I know. Whenever something is there, it interferes with the game trying to play whatever sound it is supposed to play after the horn sound. For some reason, this doesn't happen with the game's default horn sets.

I have the same problem aswell. I think it's for some specific teams. When i play witht he Blackhawks the "home win" song plays fine but never seems to work for the Ducks or Canucks. Only way around it is what Kestrel said.

Maybe it has to do with length of the song? I'm using HMP's goal horn+song pack, so my song lengths are pretty long.

I don't know, I'm going to just go with the default music (horns), it's not that bad. I just love hearing that horn signifying you just won but I can't stand having it blare on and on. lol

I heard INTERMISSION music used after a win when I selected other home win music

Confirmed - INTERMISSION = HOME WIN

Just did it now with the Bruins and Dirty Water (altho annoying I hear it after every period, but cool none the less)

I have yet to hear intermission music, let alone any music when I win, but regardless of having custom horn/song or default music in Home Win slot - I hear about 2-3 seconds of a horn and after the 2-3 seconds then horn cuts out and goes to the player celebration cut scene - at least for offline Play now games that's what it did. I've yet to test it again, been working on getting my Sharks goal horn and song to sound right and at the right length (23seconds).

This is an issue that EA ignored and it will never be fixed till next year MAYBE.

The stupid thing is that last year home win worked fine. How the hell can it not work this year? They haven't touched custom music for all I know. Except adding reverb but that shouldn't affect home win music.
