Well just played 2 games with these sliders and i really like them. I found All Star to be far to difficult for me, decided to try Pro and these sliders work really well. Im getting balanced shots and goals. I'll play a few more games and see where i stand after that but so far so good thx :-). [Reply]

Here's the stats from my gameusing these sliders----albeit that I am really not an NHL Expert. Here they are

Buffalo (ME) vs. Predators (CPU)

2 4

Shots 27 34
Hits 21 19
Faceoffs15 19
Time On Attack 9:44 6:44
PIM 10 4
PP 0/1 1/5

I was able to pass around my offensive area all day, but was unable to either get a good shot or get a goal from it. Goals were very realistic as the computer scored on a breakaway, a deflection, a one-timer, and a rebound goal. I scored on a wrister from about 5 feet in front of crease, and a one-timer on pretty pass. I had 70% passing and comp had 81%. I did try too many pokes and lifts instead of body D. Will raise penalties one notch and replay. Good so far [Reply]

I have no idea what you were trying to say so I'm gonna take a guess you want to know If I'm still getting penalties?

I'm getting a realistic amount. 3-6 a game for both teams (so 6-12 total). It helps to have the post whistle rules on "authentic" that'll help draw a few more penalties.

I tuned penalties all around down to 4 or 3 clicks (mid range) because i got SO MANY tripping calls. You couldn't touch the poke check without getting called for tripping. [Reply]

Good stuff. I'm seeing your not taking a lot of penalties. I actually got discouraged with my own sliders because I had a few games where i scored 8 or something goals. I just kept getting to the net no problem and got quick passes across the crease. May be a glitch goal, may be just too easy. So I was thinking of tweaking aggression or pass interception.

My idea behind agression, poke, interception, and so on...at 3/3 was because 3 is the "middle" slider. I didn't want anyone getting a boost and wanted players to play more like their ratings. The devils advocate to that though is a HUMAN player generally outplays the ratings of the player their controlling. So in way, the cpu may not get a boost by increasing those. This is making my head spin! :-):-)

Anyway, stick with what I got now, and I'll explore a few changes. Maybe bump aggression to 6/6 and try from there. [Reply]

Hey guys, I'm going to completely revamp my slider approach. Good timing too, considering the new tuner just came out.

Here's a link to my thread about "averages": Updated: NHL Averages for Sliders

Basically, instead of submitting 1 or 2 games worth of stats, I'm going to submit a table of 5 game averages and if you have my spreadsheet (which is included in the link) you can compare the stats and see how on or off they are compared to the real NHL. I'm going to base my sliders on my own difficulty that will produce respectable averages. Hopefully, since I have no life :-P, I can get 1 table up for you tonight with reccomendations for changes to my slider set posted at the beginning of this thread. [Reply]

Great sliders SuperJ, one problem im having is the cpu isnt shooting enough what do you recommend i change? thx [Reply]
superjew887 11:14 PM 10-13-2009
try bumping up CPU passing, if that doesn't do it then increase CPU shot accuracy and increase HUM goalie speed by the same amount [Reply]
Panther84 12:41 AM 10-14-2009
bump then each up by 1? [Reply]
