Are there any rosters out for nhl 10 that make significant changes to the ratings to spread out the talent level. Basicily so 75% of players are not rated 78-82. (xbox 360, or ps3 but available in text form). I do not like the ea rosters and have been using fan-made rosters in other games for years now.
If not, is there any website that would have stats and more importantly scouting reports for players, that would help me create my own roster. I've only been watching the NHL for about 1.5 years so I do not have the knowledge to do it completly without help from looking at scouting reports and stats.
(I have seen petrpucks and mattg's rosters and they dont seem to have done many rating edits, correct me if i'm wrong)

I really don't understand why people would do this. The game would have every player back to near even status within a year or two anyways. Besides isn't that what the Attribute Effect Slider is for? I don't know, but seems like an awful lot of work for someone, just to have the Cpu and its faulty logic ruin.

I for one rarely play more then 1 season with a single team and for that reason alone would put the work into making a good roster, the cpu wouldnt screw it up in the first year. Also for quick play against other people offline it would be nice.
It seems there isnt enough info on the web to do this though. It would be almost impossible to do through stats and ingame ratings alone, unless i'm just stupid and cant find a good website.
If anybody finds a website with good scouting reports on players let me know.

Hockeysfuture.com is the best sight that I know of.

To add realism to the game. Check speed ratings -- almost every player on every team is rated 75 or higher. And the Attribute Effect slider doesn't come close to fixing the problem.
jmon, I spent 3 weeks editing pretty well every player on every NHL club. As one example, I dropped speed, agility and acceleration ratings for 75% of players, and most are in the 50s and 60s now. The game plays 200% better, believe me. It's a big project, but if you're into the game, it's worth it. The game with default rosters is unplayable for me now.
