So does anyone have a list of essential moves that have to be made to the rosters? Any huge mistakes?

So far...

Sydor's contract
Goalie pads with wrong colors
Two Petr Sykoras (what team is the other one on?)
Get rid of Mike Rathje on the Flyers

Do they edit player attributes on roster updates, cause I think they did Jamie Benn wrong on his attirbutes?

I posted about this previously, but for anyone that hasn't seen it. Andy Delmore is a rookie and shouldn't be (he's played a lot of NHL games). To fix this, edit his salary so that it's just above the rookie minimun (950,000 or 975,000 something like that) and he'll no longer be a rookie.

Also, this isn't essential, but I edited Victor Hedman a bit to make him better. He's 75, I made him a 78 or 79 something like that.

Josh Godfrey (in the FA pool) is a Capitals prospect so I put him on Hershey, even though he's not playing in the NHL atm.

I found copies of Duchene, Gilroy, Kane, and Van Riemsdyk in the FA pool, along with the Hornqvist/Hornquist issue. As far as I know, they are the same player, but EA edited him and put him on the Preds. I don't know who Hornqvist is, but I would recommend editing him down to 50.

be careful editing down a player. i've noticed that what it does (sometimes) is take BOTH players down to a 50 rating. before doing so you might want to jot the ratings down in case you have to fix it.

Hmm, I seemed to have found copies of the players that I had created BEFORE the roster update from EA came out. I found this to be kind of strange. As far as I know, I downloaded the EA roster separately and never did anything to it. So when I downloaded the EA roster update, did it kick the players that I created into the FA pool and put EA's version of the created players on the rosters?

E.g. I created Taveras, Wilson, Kane, Duchene, Gilroy, JVR. There are now duplicates of them in the FA pool. I just find this strange. Does roster update actually mean roster override? With the players I had created leaving their rosters and ending up in FA?

You are correct, the same thing happened to me. Everyone watch out for this, all the players you created will be dumped into free agency.

I kinda thought about that post after I posted it last night, and while I believe that is what happens, it's slightly different than what I thought last night. My new theory is that the players were not "booted off" their rosters and replaced by the EA guys, but that when you have created players, they are automatically in the FA pool if you download a new roster. I don't know how to get rid of them. I'd like to. Maybe delete everything and re-download the roster update.
