okay...well, I may be dumb, and may be looking at other instructions, but when I extract I get the file SYS-DATA.

I than put that in my usb drive and plugged that into my ps3 and it said no saved data.

I have tried 10 times to do this and I still can get this update after going through the easy to understand steps, which is weird because I could do this last year without a problem.

I only get the sys-data folder, I am not getting the PS3 or BLUSxxx folder. And every time I click on the sys-data folder I keep getting an "open with" thing appearing.

Re: NHL 10 Ultimate Roster Update for PS3

guys your right.....read the instructions though

copy that sys data file into a another roster of yours

First in-game make and save a roster called Ultimate (or whatever you want)
Exit game - Copy that roster from the Save Data Utility Menu onto your usb stick
Download my roster onto your desktop and Extract using Winrar - A sys data file will appear. COPY IT
Now open your usb drive that you put into your computer - You should see a PS3 folder and inside that a SAVEDATA folder and inside that a BLUSxxx folder. Here you will erase the sys data file and PASTE my sys data file.
Take out USB stick from computer and put back into PS3
In SAVE DATA UTILITY menu again find your USB stick and COPY and OVERWRITE the roster
LOAD in game and enjoy

Re: NHL 10 Ultimate Roster Update for PS3

it seems the directions keep changing alil bit. the print-out i took home last night said to overwrite the file u make on your memory stick, now it says to erase it and copy his file into the memory stick. but when i did that, i now have nothing that shows up my memory stick, just an empy saved data folder.....when i did it the other way last night, i got a file, but it didn't seem to be any different than what i created to begin with.....
i wish i was computer friendly

hey matt, should i see this file on my memory stick now?? i did all that like ur other site said, but i don't see the file, and when i try to copy it, it says it is already there.....

Re: NHL 10 Ultimate Roster Update for PS3

i'm SOL until tonight, i think i erased the wrong thing....i don't see the BLUS folder anymore. that must be what i did wrong and why i can't see the file i copied and saved.
so u need to put your file into the blus folder. Darn it!
let me ask u this, is your file bigger than the NHL 10 current roster update?? last night when i was trying this the file i made for my USB stick was 1748kb (not sure about kb), but the number is right, then when i got your roster and loaded it to ps3, it was the same size. so it lead me to beleive that i did something wrong, and also i couldn't see any changes to the roster......do u know how much kb your file is? your site says 341k, but i don't even know how much that is.....sorry for being for ignorant.

Re: NHL 10 Ultimate Roster Update for PS3

Guys, it's really simple:

Pop NHL 10 in your PS3 and create a new roster save named 'Ultimate'.

Quit out of the game, plug in your USB stick to your PS3 and under the controller thing in the XMB go to 'save game data' or whatever it is. Press triangle on the NHL 10 'Ultimate' roster file and copy it to the USB stick.

Plug said USB stick into your computer and you'll see a PS3 folder on it. Open that folder (on the stick) and you'll get your BLUS folder; open that and you'll see a SYS DATA file the same as the one you've already unzipped from matt. Now you can drag the SYS DATA (matt's, the one you downloaded) from your desktop or wherever you have it into the folder on your USB stick. When prompted to overwrite click 'yes'.

Now pop the USB stick back in your PS3, press triangle on the roster file that comes up and pick 'copy'. It'll will ask about overwriting, say yes and you're good to go!

ANYWAYS, just wanted to say the rosters look awesome so far matt. Thanks a ton for these even if it basically means I wasted my entire afternoon yesterday starting them myself before finding this thread.
