TERRIBLE update IMO esp for the Pens..

Gonchar still in Lineup..
Whitney still in Lineup..
No Goligoski on Roster...
No Zigomanis on Roster..
Tyler Kennedy wearing #18 still lol come on ea.. been #48 for 2 years now!!
Bizz Nasty is on the 4th line.. lol he only played 1 game until last night. So why no Goligoski?

small complaints? yes.. but annoying when you like to use your fav team all the time etc..

For Gonchar and Whitney, it's normal.....they are still with the Pens. They can't remove them of the game just because they're injured.

Is Goligoski in the minors? Because Whitney and Gonchar take wo spots on the main roster.

Zigomanis....hum maybe the trade is too recent....I dont know

They did pretty well for the Blues I'd say. Pietrangelo, Berglund, and Oshie are created and appear to be rated decently. The line combos are terrible, but I'm pretty happy with the rookie creation.

Looked quickly around the league and a lot of guys have been created. Bogosian, Doughty, Brandon Sutter, Voracek, Gillies, Sbisa, Stamkos, and others.

I didn't see any new AHL rookies though.

Overall, not bad considering it took forever to get an update for rookies last year.

Gonchar and Whitney for game purposes could put them in the minors on wb/s.. Goligoski is in the minors, but that does no good for online play. For Ziggy, trade was made before first official home game.. no excuse IMO thats not included..

just another brutal roster update by any game.. all roster updates usually stink lol.. yet we all get excited for them all the time lol.

Pretty decent update from EA...line combos seem to be based on "The Hockey News" depth charts...some/most teams are exactly the same!! Good job...I like them!!

Zigomanis is on the AHL affiliate...or was he in the FA section?!...anyhow, took me all of 2 minutes to move players up/down!!!

Does anyone know if It is just a roster update or is it a patch for gameplay too?

no patch...you'd receive a prompt before your game started for a patch. however, we're not certain if the rosters impact gameplay or not (ie. placebo effect).

My update won't work. I've saved the roster file and applied it and nothing is different. I've also tried saving it and re-loading it and it still won't work. Anyone have this problem?

EDIT:

Nevermind, rebooted my 360, turned auto-save on, re-downloaded the roster file, and everything worked perfectly.

you need to start an online game...when it asks you to save the roster you need to do so. then back out of the game and you now have the new rosters (they won't load from the download rosters section because they're not there).

any changes you make you'll be prompted to then save the file again...

it appears that there is an online save and an offline save.

I feel like this may be a very stupid question but: can you load these rosters up into an offline game (so as to, you know, start a Dynasty Mode, etc), and if so how?

edit: n/m, figured it out, I just misunderstood something.

Too bad about the lack of AHL rookies, I was looking forward to seeing how EA rated Karl Alzner. But perhaps we'll get another update with AHL rookies in a week or so.
