New club - geared towards those new to the game

It seems like 99% of the clubs out there are trying to play at the highest levels, and have no time to bring rookies into the fold to get them some online experience and teach them how to work as a unit. With the holidays coming up, and surely a new wave of NHL 09 players about the enter the fray, I figured I'd start a club geared towards getting everybody some experience, serving as a stepping-stone for the more elite teams.

Do we want to win every time we take the ice? Absolutely. Will we put up with cheesing play in our ranks? No way. But our primary goal will be to take folks that are new to the game, and get some quality games under their belt. We'll teach each other how to play a trap, how to break down a defense, and other nuances that might be missed by beginner players.

PM me or post here if you'd like an invite. Alternatively, look us up in the game - the club name is "Legends in Training". I'm on central time, but I'm hoping to get a critical mass of 20ish players so that we can play through the night most nights regardless of time zone.

if you can join more than one team I'll join. Heaven knows if my other team will get together for a game

Unfortunately, you can't join multiple teams. But, if you send me your gamertag, I'll send you an invite - feel free to accept it if you ever give up on your other club.

is this for PS3 or 360....wait, never mind, I will check up the team when I go online later today. If it is for the PS3, I would definitely be interested.

This sounds right up my alley. I understand the game pretty well and played the heck out of NHL08, but this looks like the natural order of progression to perform better as a cohesive unit. By "critical mass" do you mean having a captive amount of fissible atoms to create a subsequent explosion by way of a chain reaction based on nuclear fission? LOL

My XBL GT is GlazzJoe

yeah this team is great fun. Everyone I've met on it has been really great and played a straight team oriented game. We have an exceptional goalie. Hopefully y'all will join us.

This sounds like fun. I'm about 35 games into an offline BAP season on pro level. I'd like an invite if possible. TIA.

Sorry - I've been getting destroyed at work for the last couple days, but everyone should have invites now. Let me know if I missed you because of a typo or something.

SuperCorona - what's your gamer tag? SuperCorona isn't working . . .
