The double-broadcast package was arduous - taking up 60 percent of the development cycle, he guessed. But it was worth it.
Well that's great. I'm assuming not much was done to Dynasty.

Also, it's been what, a month since this new presentation was announced and this and the motion offenses are still the only thing they're talking about. Damn.

I asked if this broadcast immersion was a proof of concept for other EA Sports titles; Dougan didn't want to speak to what other EA Sports teams were doing (though they do work together EA Tiburon helped out with the Lucas Oil Stadum build, the site of this year's Final Four in Indianapolis.)
I found this kinda interesting as NCAA football 10 can use most of the wipes, overlays and 3d images. because both espn and cbs uses those same overlay for most major sports just different stats headings.

That's true. The thing I'm wondering about though is that every other sport has more than just 2 broadcast partners which is why it was a perfect fit for a College Basketball game to introduce multiple broadcasts. But for games like Madden you have NBC, CBS, ESPN, NFL Network and FOX (I think that's all) so that could make it more difficult to pull off.

Also, looking at this interview they said it took 60% of their dev time to create that stuff and I don't know if a game like Madden would be able to risk taking up all that time on presentation when there is more pressing Gameplay/Franchise issues to address.

I'm disappointed that One Shining Moment isn't in. They had it in 09...

While I see where you are coming from BlueNGold Madden and maybe NCAA Fball have larger development teams. For sure madden, so you are probably looking at less time to create a feature like this for those games.

Can't choose the major. I know it is small but why?

Why don't companies make everything in the roster database editable? Please someone that knows give me a reason why this is so hard for them to do. It is this little stuff that drives me crazy.

Re: Article on Kotaku

the presentation sounds amazing. And now I'm curious as to how much "One Shining Moment" costs.

Me, too. It was there before. Now it's an arm and a leg? Maybe dude found out how much the Presentation was being up with the CBS package and decided that the song was worth a ton. Got love law of supply and demand....
