Hi all, thanks for the great thread and many contributions.

I have a question about the CTT and applying them before starting a CM. Unfortunately, I've already started my Career and I didn't enable the feature to operate the AI's controller.

So, looks like I'm starting over. If I make all the CTT updates via the Main Menu in Team Edit, will that mean those CTT values are kept throughout all game modes?

Also, I have a question about player transfers in Career Mode (forgive the off-topic digression). If I'm in year 5 of my Career Mode, is it conceivable that ManU would sell Rooney for $200M to Real Madrid? If so, is there any way of disabling that?

If you edit the CTT values, they'll remain that way through all game modes.

hi krebstar I wanted to know how you make an average using the site footballstitistic to create the equal tactics to the teams?
I wondered me even if it served a hand for the Italian teams considering that I am Italian.

I would just like to say thanks for all the effort.

Unfortunately no matter how much I play I can't shake of the "broken" feeling of this game.

The crooks and incompetent fools at EA have the AI and tactics side of the game completely broken. You can give a tactic to a team but in the long run it doesn't matter because they USE IT ALL THE TIME, no matter the status of play, which is of course completely unrealistic.

Anyways, again, thanks for the efforts. If it wasn't for the community this game would be completely ****.

edit: For the love of God is there NO way to make ai teams actually shoot the ball? They keep passing it inside the area between 2 and 3 players for no reason at all and they only shoot it when really close!!! It's completely ridiculous.

And yes, I have tried every tactic out there. Do tactics even work?!

I'm noticing similar results from my use of these CTT + Krebstar's sliders (slightly modified).

The AI plays the same game every time. Their fullbacks gun it down the sidelines, sometimes at warp speeds, then they either cross it in or they get dispossessed. Rinse, repeat. I have their fullback positioning on 80 to prevent them from doing that. Perhaps I have that slider backward? :P

Overall, my two biggest complaints with the AI are:

1. Late Game God Mode: If I carry a lead into the final 3-4 minutes of the match, I can rightfully expect the AI to explode into God Mode. I love that the game sims extra time this way, it's realistic that teams push forward when behind a goal late. It's *not* realistic, however, that they become veritable dribbling juggernauts with finishing skills out of this world. We're talking even crap teams like Crystal Palace will do this!

2. Fouls / Yellow Cards MIA: It's a common complaint, mind you, but the non-existent fouls/cards is really disappointing. I don't get free kicks in the middle of the pitch, let alone around the opponent's box. It would be really nice if there were a slider to control this sort of thing. My midfielders are frequently murdered in the middle of the pitch with no calls. If I were to make a 3rd complaint, of course, it would be the AI ability to tackle.

I agree with both of you. With extensive tweaks, we can change how the AI plays, but unfortunately not how it thinks. It's logic and decision making is still flawed and it's basically not salvageable at this point.

I find it appalling that people are happy with the single player mode. Are we really that stupid and ignorant?

The CPU plays a very decent and varied-attack game when:

1. Tactics are radically altered, such as lowering Buildup Speed to 1 for some teams. Raising the Shooting tactic is also necessary.

2. Players' ratings are edited, specifically their Dribbling and Long Shot ratings. The Dribbling rating for example does not determine dribbling prowess; it determines whether a player will run with the ball or pass it off. The reason CPU ball carriers run up the wings and into the box all the time and never shoot, is because their Dribbling ratings are too high and their and Long Shot ratings are too low.

CPU AI decision-making is entirely salvagable, it just takes a boatload of editing work.
