I'm setting up a Champions League tournament and as an American soccer fan, I can't keep up with all the international teams. FIFA 10 includes most of the teams that made the group stage of the Champions League, but I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions for FIFA 10 teams with similar skill/tactics that I could sub in for the missing teams (Maccabi Haifa, Besiktas, etc.)?

Besiktas are in the game, in the Turkish league.
I wouldn't be able to tell you anything about suitable replacements in terms of playing style and tactics unfortunately. I don't watch these teams enough to get any idea of those things.
What i'd do instead is replace the actual teams with teams from nearby regions:
APOEL (Cyprus) = replace with a Greek team from the "Rest of World" section
Debreceni (Hungary) = replace with Rapid Vienna (Austria)
Maccabi Haifa (Israel) = replace with...another Turkish club?
CKSA (Russia), Rubin Kazan (Russia), Dynamo Kyiv (Ukraine) = replace with Polish clubs?
Unirea (Romania) = replace with another Greek club?
I specifically mentioned Rapid Vienna as a sub-club because they qualified for the Europa League groups (by beating Aston Villa too!) so they are a European qualifier in real life...thats another idea btw, just promote teams that were close to qualifying to the Champions League into your one, clubs like Sporting, Anderlecht, Panathinaikos and Celtic were all in the final qualifying round for example, and they are all in the game.
