What's up with Be-a-pro and red cards?

So I joined Man City, and I'm now the captain at game 20. However, V.Kompany and M.Richards each got a red card earlier in the year, and now every time I have a game, they are no were to be found. Anyway I can get these players back onto the pitch, or are they somehow lost for the year?

This sounds like a bug too me. In my current BAP I'm not yet the captain, but when one of the players on the team was injured he didn't come back for the rest of the game. It seems to me that EA has messed up some things.
