Is it the Carling Cup? I'm not 100% sure that there isn't an actual English League Cup but I had always assumed it was something else in real life. I'm fairly familiar with English football, but I wasn't sure about this.

You're right, it's the Carling Cup. It's actually called that in real life as well, but people still just say League Cup. The Premier League is in fact called Barclays Premier League, still people just call it the Premier League.

Good thing that most people don't use it, everything has to do with commercials these days. I'm glad United haven't gotten a sponsor name for their stadium. Poor Arsenal :P

Ok, thanks for clearing that up for me man. I figured that much was true for the Prem. Though I guess I only noticed it because I immediately recognized the name Barclays. I'm not familiar with Carling so I wasn't sure about that one. I remember when I first started watching European football back in Middle School... I though the name of each team was the sponsor on the front of the kit until I saw a brand name I recognized, lol.

Hihi. It helps living "across the pond". Guess they have the sponsors because of the length of halfs. In american football, icehockey (too some degree) and baseball there is much more time for commercials. But that's a different topic.

In (and FIFA) England there are:

Barclays Premier League (The premiership, the league)
The F.A. Cup (just called the F.A. Cup)
The Carling Cup (The league cup, the mickey mouse trophy)
