Let me just say something about how they release info. For the two days that we were there not once did they tell us "not to say this" or "make sure you tell them this". Quite frankly I was surprised we didn't get any of that but, anything that we learned or discussed the entire time was ok to talk about to our communities.

The only info that they didn't discuss was unannounced features and future plans for FIFA. That's completely understandable to me.

We did however sign a NDA but only because they are developing new titles at EA Canada. If someone were to get info on new titles by seeing something they weren't supposed to overhear a conversation, the NDA protects them.

Michael, if you're lurking around, the videos reminded me of two things that I don't think you've mentioned:

1. Were the R-stick first touch and knock-ons improved? I think I remember reading press that this received some attention, wondering if you experimented with them hands-on...

2. Are the goal kicks better with the new collision & heading systems? We all know how pointless it was to kick it long with the 'keeper, especially against the AI. I thought that it was somewhat better in Euro, but again, wondering if anything about it jumped out at you...

Thanks, man!

The first touch and knock ons have been improved significantly. Check out this video presentation.

http://www.fifasoccerblog.com/2008/0...09-videos.html

They show you the difference in trapping and dribbling from 08 to 09. This was the presentation that David Rutter gave us at EAC.

Long goal kicks are improved because of the new collision system. Now, if your player is bigger and/or taller you should win the majority of headers at midfield.

therizing:

1. What do you know about the replays? As a Pro Evo fan, I loved being able to save my replays and watch them from any angle possible. Is this possible in the latest Fifa?
And say that you make a shot that hits the left post and goes out. Will I have time to pause the game, make the replay and save it?

One of my biggest gripes with Pro was that when the ball went out or play got interrupted by the referee, you couldn´t save the replay.

2. Is it possible to save the highlights of the match? After playing a memorable match against a friend, it would be wonderful to capture it and re-remember it half a year later.

Not sure but, I'm almost positive that this is not yet in the game. Sorry man. I an certainly relate because I have many PES goals saved

It is not possible to do this on the Next gen version of the game but, you can on the PC version.

Strange that they make it possible on the PC but not on the console, since both PS3 and Xbox 360 have a hard drive it shouldn´t be a big problem.

Can you ask next time why they won´t include this feature on consoles?

Hey, Therizing. thanks for all the info so far

i had a question, but i dont know if its been asked before. in 08 you had just a couple of exp. points to give to your created player. do you maybe know if they are unlimited now, so we can create a superstar ?

Hey Therizing,
Thanks for taking the time to answer all our questions, doing a good job at it too.

One big question:
In Fifa 08/Euro 2008 it was very difficult at times to move your controlled player towards the ball when it was being passed to him, resulting in an interception by the CPU in a majority of cases. Attempting to use super cancel or changing the controls to manual player switching hardly helped overcome this (imo glitch). PES games had this down perfect, have they adressed this for 09???

Not sure on this one. I didn't spend anytime in the create a player mode. Sorry man.

This has been addressed. They specifically mentioned it in the opening presentation.

While playing the game I noticed the improvement.
