There was another big question that was on a lot of people's minds is there a Russian League?
What I meant by this was that there is an option in the game settings menu for speed. they are:

Slow-FIFA 08 pace
Normal-EURO
Fast-did not check it.

Rutter told me that barring a major issue it will stay this way.

No mention of any new leagues.

It certainly has a lot to do with ratings. My free kick with Beckham had more spin that others I tried it with. From a controls standpoint it is much easier to do. You just add the spin with LS. Because the ball physics changed for the better this year the LS is more responsive when applying spins. I had Pirlo take a corner kick that looked like one of those sick knuckleball free kicks that Ronaldo does.

I did read on the EA Web editor forums, that you can organise pre season friendlies to give more time for transfers and loan players for 1, 3, 6 and 12 months but that might have just been for database use and not an in game feature.
You can organize and set friendlies in the PC version. There is actually a meter that moves signifying the likelihood that a team will accept your invite. As an example, if you are a Serie B team and you want a friendly with a 5 star team they will likely decline the offer unless you give them a larger share of the ticket sales which is also an option.

No friendly set up in the NG version

That's good to hear. I personally liked the slower pace in FIFA 08 better than the pace in EURO.

FIFA 08 pace with better responsiveness (ala EURO) and improved ball physics/speed would satisfy my desires, I believe. Did you happen to notice if the ball physics (namely speed I suppose) were affected by the slow setting? As always, keep up the good work, sir...

Gary Patterson (Creative Director) said that they toyed with idea of slowing the ball speed down to match the speed of the game pace and they decided against it.

Hot damn, that's just what I wanted to hear! So long as the slow setting retains the responsiveness of the normal setting (at least in balance with the overall player speed) we could have a winner. Thanks again dude!

Re: Therizings Community Day Impression (so far)

Have some questions i hope can be answered

- How about the crowd? Are they looking better? Are they getting up when you are nearing the goal and jumping when you score? Gets up if the other team makes a bad foul and booing and some kind of screaming like they want the ref to give a card?

- F.exsampel can the ref give a card or the striker take his hands to his head if he miss a big chance without seeing it in cutscreen? Somethink like in PES?

- Can the weather change during the match. Lets say the match start sunny/dry and then it starts raining/snowing and ends sunny/dry? And has the weather an effect on the dribling/how the ball beheave?

- Can the goalie make a penalty and can the goalie get sent off?

- Can the goalie get injuried?

- After a few tackles do the shorts and shirt get dirt on it?

- How about the audio? If a hometeam score the winning goal or level
the match late in the game then the crowd should sound much louder then if they scored early in the game unless its an important match. The
celebration between players should also be wilder if you score late in
the game then scoring early and should be for both home and away teams

- Also if you play in the afternoon the skys are bright(maybe the sun
going down) in the first half and in the second half it slowly getting
darker and ends night?

- Can refs make mistakes like in real life? Maybe the linesman see a
fould and flaging so the play stops and the ref goes to him to talk and
then make a decision (maybe a fould so he gets sent off)? The linesman
makes a mistake on offsides?

- Are there any improvements on throw ins?

- Will we be able to play music off our hard drive through the XMB in
Fifa 09?

- Can players slip in the rain/snow?

- Will There Be Trophy Celebrations After You Win A Cup?

- Will there be any downloadable content PSN? I so what?

Cheers

Allan

The crowd looks great! They were completely redone because EA now knows the home and visitors section of each stadium. I saw many flags AND scarves!

Didn't notice many of these. Doesn't mean they aren't in there though. I just wasn't looking for them.

The only time a weather can change will be if you have an overcast day it may start to rain or snow. It won;t go from Sunny>Overcast>Rain.

I didn't have any snow/rain games so I'm not sure.

Understandable but I don't think there's a difference in crowd reaction from an early goal and late one.

No dynamic lighting

Didn't see this one either. They do have delayed cards this year though.

You will be able to download other peoples custom team tactics from the EA Locker feature.
