Are we gonna be able to each diff. part of our team's uniforms eg. Jersey, short, socks.

And you said dummy passes are in, did you experience any while playing?
The dummy pass wasn't in the build that I played. It had been added since.

As far as the speed of the gemae, default is the same as EURO and Slow is the same as FIFA 08. I didn't even try the Fast speed.

Are there specific controls for adding spin/swerve to the ball or does it just depend on the player’s ability and holding the left stick in a certain direction?

Thanks for the info Therizing.

Did anyone at EA mention if they are going to be taking the same approach as the football guys and start having direct contact with the fans?

As I mentioned, the build we were playing was six weeks old. There was one situation where my centerback was in position to make a play on a striker outside the box and did nothing.

I paused the game and asked Aaron to take a look. I pointed out that "this is one of the major gripes within our community." He nodded in agreement and went on to explain the differences in positioning and reactions this year compared to last.....for about 20 minutes. I have faith that this has been addressed.
The thing is......in spite of whatever Aaron may have said, the fact remains this whole event is really an advertisement for their game. And with EA's history, I'm afraid that until I actually see (or hear from a trusted source) the ball watching from 08 is fixed, I won't believe it.

It very well may have been addressed, and I truly believe that you believe he was sincere. But despite of all the good intentions of these Community Days, they are just as much (or more) about creating buzz for their product as they are getting feedback from the players to make their game better.

And I'm really disappointed they were so tight lipped about the online portions, even when not being asked about their big "surprise", but other things that might have been fixed since 08.

But it is great to hear firsthand the impressions about the game, it does sound like there have been some really exciting improvements so far. Thanks for taking the time to answer our endless questions, Therizing.

When you say fast, medium, and slow speed does that mean that you can set a setting or does that mean you can tactically tell your team to go those different speeds as a playing style? I guess I really don't understand why EA would make 3 different speed types unless it was part of the tactics.

There was another big question that was on a lot of people's minds is there a Russian League?

it's different speeds you can adjust outside the game. default (normal) is the same speed as Euro 08, slow is same speed as FIFA 08 and fast is a little faster than Euro 08.

I personally like the different speeds. I know that I very much liked the pace of FIFA 08 as I felt there were some animations that made it feel clunky, not the speed itself. I also like the pace of Euro 08 but I'm afraid if in-game fatigue isn't fixed, online games could just become a sprint fest and that's not what I'm about. I know rizing said that EA said they had fixed in game fatigue so hopefully that won't be the case.

Yeah, last year you couldnt notice the difference between CPU players at 25% and 100%.

I'm a little dissapointed that MM didn't get addressed more. There were some huge flaws that made it get stale quickly.

My direct question to the developers was this:

"Regarding fatigue how has it been addressed? will I notice a difference of a player who has played 70 minutes and a fresh sub? I didn't last year."

The answer was yes. You should see a reduction in ratings as the player gets more fatigued. Response times will be slower and he will not have the same speed.

I will say this, I did notice a definite change of pace from the beginning of the game when the players were "fresh", the start of the second half where the players recouped some energy at halftime, and towards the end of the game when they are all fatigued. There was a noticeable difference in pace.

Another thing that I check were the stamina bars of the players at around the 75th minute. They looked like they were hardly fatigued at all. I called over an EA rep and pointed this out and I was told that the bars were not a good gauge of the player's fatigue level. Strange but true.

I agree with Bahnzo, they can tell us until they are blue in the face but, the real confirmation won't be there until we get the retail version.

While at EA, all I felt I could do the get the message out was to continue to pound our issues into the head of anyone who would listen. They all did.

I did ask this and mentioned it to Clive Gorman (Global Marketing Manager) and he said they have been looking into that possibility. I did mention that Ian and Adam have been posting in the NCAA and Madden forums. Not sure what to make of his response though.
