What else do you do??? Why write dynasties?

Hey guys...

I was just wondering what the other dynasty writers do with the rest of thier time and why they write these dynasty stories.

I'll go first.

I am 29 and married with two kids, a 3-year old son and a 5 month old daughter. I work as a nurses aid for three days a week (one 8 hour shift and two 16 hour shifts in a row ). I will be going back to school to finish my 2-year degree this summer and will be applying to nursing school next year.

I spend most of my time with the family and do my gaming at night when everyone is in bed.

I also just joined a band. I've played guitar for 21 years.

I write these dynasties as a way to add to the enjoyment of playing sports games. I do it for myself first, and everyone else second. As long as I'm having fun, I don't care who else reads em...

but I also really enjoy the comments.

Ok...done...who's next?

I play my dynasty when my wife and 2 year old daughter are in bed. Other than that, I hang out with them.

I started writing dynasties just to share my games with other people, and so I can maybe look back at it later. I started a Madden franchise a few months ago on another site, that was my first ever attempt. Then, I wanted to do a hockey one. I love getting comments back on it also, the more the merrier. I find it adds an element to it to know other people will be able to see what is going on and judge the moves you make...always judging...judging me...oh my, I've started to ramble.

Go to school, come home play games pretty much. Honestly.. I'm one of the shyest kids you'll ever meet. I'm not a big fan of big social activities. I'll go out with a couple people, but not lots. Anyways... So I'm a student in Grade 10. My job is over for the year, I timekeep for the local minor hockey.

I live near Toronto, Ont.

Our local teams are the NHL's Toronto Maple Leafs (will miss playoffs for fourth consecutive season); the NBA's Toronto Raptors (will miss playoffs; huge disappointment this season), MLB Toronto Blue Jays (cut salary by $20 million this season; will lose 90 games), and the CFL Toronto Argos (I think they lost their last 10-to-12 games last season).

So this is my escape from sports reality.

Go Toronto FC. You're our only hope!

I'm going to be starting writing an NBA 2K9 dynasty pretty soon, because it seems like a good way to keep me interested in the dynasty and not get frustrated. We'll see how it goes, I suppose...

Very good post. Im quite young. I play rep hockey, football and baseball. In hockey i am a Defenseman, football i am a free safety, and in baseball I am a catcher and shortstop. I also volunteer alot at the local homeless shelter, and im my free time i like to play MLB 09 the show, hangout with friends, and just run.. Thats about it. BTW, im 13, so my volunteering does not count for highschool hours

I am a 29 year old father of two (2 1/2, and 1 1/2) I usually get to play Monday, Tues, Wed, Fri 10-11:30 when everyone else is asleep. I then get up a 5:45am every Mon-Fri for the gym and then work 7:30-4:30 Mon-Sat at Chick-fil-a. I used to be a teacher but, was laid off.
I started writing a dynasty just to share it with others and get some feedback. I enjoy the creative outlet in the actual write ups. I also feel that it adds to the game because I know that people will read about the results.
