What else do you do??? Why write dynasties?

I am a 20 year old student out in Boston, don't have too much time to play games because of everything involved with college (homework mostly) and I am a student athlete as well, but I am sports dynasty/franchise mode freak.
I enjoy writing dynasties for a few reasons. First off I am a broadcast journalism student in college, so half of it is I enjoy writing news style work and it's good practice without much pressure. Also, I think it adds something to the dynasty as I start to look at small details which I would usually just overlook.

Im a 17 year old who plays high school football in Louisiana.

If you've ever been in LA in the summer you know 2 things- It's not the heat, it's the humidity; and if you don't like the weather than wait 10 minutes.

Back when i was playing for the youth league we were told during the summer (yes the summer. we were a legit league.) that we need to watch and see how the pros do it. since there was no football to watch during the summer, we were told to play NCAA, in moderation. And with the a fore mentioned weather, we had A LOT of free time on our hands

i told you that to tell you this. I write because i have been playing these games for half my life lol. it gets boring after a while, but im not a hardcore gamer. i not counting EA games, i have less than 10 360 games. Not counting sports games, i have 7 total.

sport games get boring and im what you call an insomniac. if it weren't for Tigerdroppings.com i would have lost my mind. then i found OS, and saw that not only could you write up dynasties, but people read them. that added a whole new element to dynasties.

but for sum reason i forget about them/forget to update them

Texas Aggies dyansty is going up BTW.

Watson - I have 12 games, 11 of those are sports. :P Only non sport game i have right now is GTA4. So your not alone in mostly sports games.

My dad was in the West Virginia Air National Guard from the early 80s until 1992 in which time he served in Operation Just Cause and Operation Desert Storm. He was a Captain on the C-130.

I'm pretty much a sports game guy, as well. I have COD4 and COD5 and that's about it as far as non-sports games.

33, just bought a new home with my girlfriend, don't have the time that I once had to play video games, other than work at the office and here at home, I spend my other time fishing, hunting, doing the whole outdoors thing, spending time with my girlfriend and oh yes, in the fall going to Happy Valley for PSU football, but really try to get 2-3 games of my baseball dynasty in a week if possible. I do it for all of you guys to follow, plus by posting it, it gives me motivation to complete a whole season, hopefully more than that. It kind of makes me feel responsible to all of the OS readers who follow it, because I know now if I didn't post the games on here, I'd never finish it.

We may have served together...I was in Desert Storm and in Europe during Just Cause. Was AD from 83 until 92 myself.

I actually havnt even started a dynasty yet but im planning on starting my first tomorrow actually! Im a student, about to head into grade 9 and after school is out, all i wanna do is play some video games, i dont care about the losers who hang out in town and do drugs, so u could kinda say its somewhat of an escape from them but i just dont do it 2 get away from people, i enjoy playing games for a reason, especially nhl 09, pure fun awesomeness
