What else do you do??? Why write dynasties?

Im a freshmen too. I wouldn't be on this site much but I didn't matke the baseball team, Fixed tryouts . But even though I just started mine, im having a blast writing it.

I'm probably one of the oldest here,at 38.I'm married with 4 kids,and I work on the Philadelphia/New Jersey waterfront as a longshoreman.One of the benefits of my job is a lot of time off which gives me the time to play OOTP/write about it.I guess the reason why I write a dynasty is that I enjoy it.I've always liked to write,even in school,and I use the dynasty page as an outlet for that.Another reason is that you get a lot of interaction with people from pretty much all over,and I think thats kinda cool.My favorite sport is,you guessed it baseball,with football a close second.I also do a lot of reading,mainly about baseball history.Other than that,I'm a pretty regular guy/father/husband.

I'm 19, currently attending community college, besides doing a Rangers dynasty, I'm either doing work for school, hanging with my family or just playing baseball or hockey with some of my friends or watching the Mets/Jets/Rangers.

I think I get the prize so far for age on this thread I will be 45 next month. I have 4 kids...22, 20, 18 and 15. I am a high school teacher of a different sort. I am in charge of distance education. I got back in to sports gaming around christmas...hadnt played since my super nintendo days. I started my first dynasty thread because I wanted to share what I had been doing. I normally play after the family goes to bed. I am a football fan and have gotten hooked on Head Coach. But my 360 decided to corrupt my files so I had to start my dynasty over again

I haven't tracked my franchises on OS too much (just one, and I've slacked on it), but have at SegaSports.com, 2khockey.net, Thunderpuck.com, DynastyManager.com, and DynastyCentral.com for about 6 years now.

I'm 19, currently unemployed, and live at home. Not exactly where I wanted to be at this age, but that's where I am. I live with my girlfriend, we've been together 2 and a half years and plan on getting married sometime in the next 2 years, depending on our situations at the time as well.

I write dynasties because I like that added element it brings. At times it can be annoying, knowing that you have to write your next update when you want to just play the games. But when I took a break from tracking my dynasties, I found myself wanting to keep track of them somehow. So for a lot of my stuff, I wrote very brief recaps or just overviews of my seasons. This spring, I got back into updating my dynasties more hardcore, and even have a full out MLB page at Dynasty Manager (my first home ) and would like to add an NFL and NHL page to my repertoire in the coming months.

I started out writing dynasties in middle school (8th grade) in 2003 and have since graduated high school and find myself still writing dynasties on the internet. I mostly kept it a secret from my friends, with the only people knowing were my family. Earlier this year, I told my girlfriend about it and she really thinks it's cool. Imagine that. This whole time I've been keeping it a secret because I didn't want to be seen as some internet geek. But whatever.

I've met a lot of different people through this hobby of mine. It has taken over my life at times and I don't regret a single second of it. It's a huge passion of mine and I'd love to somehow spin it into a job someday. If not, which is likely, I'll still continue to do it 'for the love of the game.'

When I first started visiting these boards I was 28.....now I've got some grey hair creeping in and I'm 35. My guess is I'll always like this stuff. It's in my blood.

I'm actually a dynasty drone. I do nothing but play dynasties and post them 24/7. That is all I do.
