What else do you do??? Why write dynasties?

Well, I'm currently much younger or at the average age than most of you guys at the age of 15. I play hockey as a activity and am currently really hoping to become a NHLer for my career path, but if that doesn't work out, I'll either become a coach or Hockey novel author. I usually go to school, come home and do whatever I want do to the fact that we don't get as much homework as others, partially due to finishing the work at school. Dynasty wise, I only stick to hockey, and most of the time I have updates ready to post, otherwise, I'll put up some update and play more games later.

I am as far as I know the youngest user as i turned 13 on March 27th i have very few friends and am mostly hated so i play NHL 09 2K9 and EHM 07 as well as scan OS. I am looking into the career of an NHL player agent but if that fails I will be an NHL Commentator (I know lol) I also find dynasties are fun to write and that I like feedback.

The main reason I'm spending so much time on here right now is because of injury. I'm a 17 year old high school junior that normally would be playing Varsity Soccer right now, but due to a serious back injury I can't do much of anything for the moment. Thus, I try to pass the time playing video games and writing about them - and sleeping.

This is a fun pursuit for me because I plan on being a journalist - I'm almost sure I'll be going to Mizzou for J-school, and this is good practice. I enjoy the writing part almost as much, if not more than, playing the actual games. So, there you have it.

I am 22 years old and graduated from college last May. I am a substitute teacher (for now) and will be a full-time middle school math teacher starting in September. I am the head coach of my high school's freshman boys basketball team. Being out of college means plenty of nights where I don't go out drinking and just end up staying in and relaxing. So now I'll get my gaming in at night when I'm not hanging out with my girlfriend.

My St. John's dynasty is actually my 2nd dynasty I've written. My first one was a "sim only" CHoops 2k7 dynasty. I only kept it going for a couple weeks then ended up playing NCAA football and that took me away from keeping that going.

With my St. John's dynasty, it makes me feel more involved with the dynasty itself. I would usually go through playing game after game, but never really paying attention to what is going on around the nation. Now, I keep track of the top-25 as well as top recruits around the nation as well as transfers, early entrants and graduates. Definitely makes playing a dynasty that much more interesting.

Yeah well I might be the youngest here at 14, So the only reason I started writing my Dynasty is because of a knee injury so I couldn't play baseball or hockey and I also do it to try to get better at grammar and writing.

I'm 21 and in the US Navy. I do dynastys to keep my sanity on the boat lol. I'm an Electronic Technician so i work a lot. but in my free time i play hockey and games(NHL 09 mostly)

Although I don't post dynasties online, my brother and I do post dynasties in a word document (newspaper layout with pics/stats/writeup/etc. by email. We do it for fun, trying to out do each other, and make each other laugh. I REALLY enjoy reading everyone else's dynasties b/c not only does it give me ideas, but they always fire me up to go play mine!

As for my daily work week life...it's pretty routine. I get up, get the daughter fed/dressed, drop her off with the wife, go to work, go to the gym, pick the daughter back up, play with daughter & dogs, cook dinner, hang out with family, and FINALLY(sarcasm) get to play around 10:00 or so once everyone is asleep. It's a nice day.

well, i am a writer first and foremost--no, seriously! I am 17 years old and I am going to college next year at NYU for Dramatic Writing, which is a very specific type of Creative Screenwriting. Schools like USC or UCLA teach you more of how to produce--but NYU will help me develop my writing skills and technique to become a professional broadway play writer, a television writer, or even a movie writer.

I also play and love ice hockey. I have been skating since the age of 2 (although at that time it was more like "stepping", lol) and have been playing hockey since the age of 5. At the age of 6, I was diagnosed with Tourrete Syndrome. I am currently a "Youth Ambassador" for the Tourrete Syndrom Association, which means I go around to schools and give presentations raising awareness.

At the age of 7 I decided to hang up the shin and elbow pads in favor of something a little...larger. I currently play goalie, and you can see some awesome pics of me in net if you check out my arena (minnesota wild jerseys ftw!! lol).

I haven't had too many successful attempts at dynasties on here, but I have one over on the playstation forums for MLB 09 The Show, and I might just post it here, as well. Nevertheless, I love to write, and really enjoy reading a lot of the great work on here, whether it's baseball, football, or hockey, I read frivoulously on these boards, even if i'm not the most active post-wise.

I've really enjoyed being on these boards since I signed up, and I look forward to continue being on these boards and (hopefully) setting up an actually successful story here.

I thought I was one of the youngest here, but apparently not.

I'm a high school junior. I play basketball at the YMCA (though I'm not much of any good, LOL). I just go to school, come home, and do whatever else, which includes dynasty writing.

I like to write dynasties because I think it emerses you more into your dynasty. Also, it keeps me from quitting my dynasties (which I used to do far more than I do now). I've been able to stick with my coaching legacy for over one year now because my dynasty thread keeps me going. It's just neat to share the stories. Also, it makes the loss less painful since all will see it and every win seems important since many people will read it.

Currently, I'm probably going to go to N.C. State to major in meteorology or engineering (I'm not sure which yet). I'm a WVU fan and I lived up there through June 2007, but Morgantown is six hours away from my house, so I don't think I want to go to college that far away.

That's similar to me I had a serious foot injury and was unable to walk for 7 months and I ended going on this site often.
