NFL HC09 Raiders Franchise: take 2

So I created a new HC, Ron Burgundy, to take over for the Oakland Raiders during the preseason.

Coach Skills(personality=traditionalist)
-OL physical level 4
-DL physical level 4
-HB intangibles level 3
-OL intangibles level 4
-DL intangibles level 4
I plan to upgrade hb intangibles to level 4, and then LB intangibles to 4. we'll see where it goes after that

Playbooks
Offense=Smashmouth running w/deep passes. A lot like the 70s style football
Defense=Jaguars physical D. CBs play man 100% of the time. LBs blitz, cover2, or man cvg. Safeties either blitz or zone with very little man cvg.

QB=strong arms/tools
RB=power
FB=balanced
WR=strong/blocking
TE=blocking
C=run blocking
OG=run blocking
OT=run blocking
DE=balanced
DT=balanced
OLB=balanced
MLB=balanced
CB=man coverage/ballhawk
FS=centerfield
SS=run supporter/big hitter

House Rules
-no players with "superstar", "virtuoso" or "lone-wolf" personalities.
-no special skills for me or anyone else on the coaching staff(GM and trainer too)
-no looking at draft preview
-claystone's sliders
-no scouting inseason
-during offseason, only scout up to 73%(no player comparision, potential, or +'s and -'s))
-dont use individual workouts(makes the first 2 rounds so much harder if you arent sure if he is a bust or not)
-with regards to rookies, playing the game more realistically(depth chart)

This isnt a house rule, but rather a smart way to build a team, but I also will not accept players on the team unless they have a learning of at least 61.

I will sim the first season, and start in the very next offseason.

I wont be using the Joe Kain draft class(even though i love it) or the Jack English class(ive done year 1 in it during my test chises before). So I hope to get the other two. I'll just save before preseason week 4 and keep on advancing untill I dont get those 2 classes.
Although if i get the joe kain draft again i just might keep it since i love the storylines in it. The only guys with set names who i know will be good are caraun lawrence, bo jackson, scott burke, and john onken, and tristan riley(who i will avoid because the guy is HUGE-300 lbs at least-and hes cheap). the rest of the names of the ppl i picked are randomized so i wont know whos who.

So looking at the roster right now, the ONLY players i would want to keep 3 years from now are Aso,kirk morrison, and shane lechler. wow
thomas howard has a bad personality, as does dmac, and the rest of the guys are overpaid.

Next update saturday night most likely, when the new dynasty manager comes out

I just started a new chise with Houston... Trying to get rid of Ahman green, Weaver and Travis Johnson but cant.. Too big of salaries to cut and noone wants them

I like your house rules, and I use similar ones. I also do not start playing my games until the 09 season is simmed. However, I never thought of not scouting at all during the regular season. That is a great way to make the draft more exciting; great idea.

I am currently 0-10(lol) as I am simming through the season. Im trying to go
1-15 or 2-14 while simming, so i dont pull a detroit, and still get the 1st pick. gonna resign Aso and shane lechler in the last week to gain some mega approval from the owner, which should lift him from 0 to 80 and help me keep my job.

I got the draft where RB kendrick house tears all of his CL's and is out for the year, which "shakes up the draft boards."

Season stats and stuff like that in the next post around midnightish, then i will do the offseason either tommorow night or next friday night.

I finished 2-14 after beating the texans and demolishing the bucs(i simmed out the 1st 15 weeks but had to play the last game to raise my approval). i was really shocked that my ragtag squad of raiders murdered the 2 loss buccaneers 44-14.

So i kept my job. next update either tommorow night or next friday night. I will fire all of my coaches/GM/trainer, and hire ones w/o special skills(so ill have to save before each guy pops up lol
Also, I "clinched" the #1 draft spot, although i will almost certainly trade down from it.
