ARod Leaving New York?

Bronx, NY - The new manager of the Yankees, XboxAddict18, has just recieved news of a rumor stating that ARod may demand a trade pretty soon. Spring training starts in 4 days and this is the last thing that XboxAddict18 needs to hear. We went to XboxAddict18's office and asked for an interview. He agreed, it is at the bottom.

ESPN: XboxAddict18, what do you think of the rumor of ARod might be wanting a trade.

XboxAddict18: It is shocking. I do not understand why any player would want to leave a club that has been like family to him, and a club that might be winning the World Series soon.

ESPN: So you are saying that he should reconsider?

XboxAddict18: I'm not saying anything about it, because I don't even know if this rumor is true.

ESPN: Are you going to look into it?

XboxAddict18: Yes I am, I am going to ask ARod about it.

ARod Says: "Rumor is a bunch of ...."

Bronx, NY - We have now confirmed reports that Alex Rodriguez will not be demanding trade. In fact, he told us that he wouldn't even consider trade unless he was about to die. The Yankees will open up Spring Training on March 1st against the Phillies. ARod told us that he will be with the Yankees until the end. The only way he wouldn't be on the team is if the team trades him. Below is the schedule of the Spring games for the Yankees.

XboxAddict18 told us that he is going to find out who started the rumor and chew him or her out. He said that was not right to start a rumor that could wreck a team's motivation and spirit about the season. The rumor shouldn't of been started and next time a rumor hits the streets, find the source and get the evidence. Then go to the other side and get that story. Compare the two and figure it out. Don't jump to conclusions!

Spring Training Game Preview
New York Yankees vs. Philadelphia Phillies

The Yankees are hoping to overcome the tension that came from the nasty rumor about ARod going to get traded. If they can overcome it then they have a huge shot at winning this ball game. Right now the batting order looks traditional.

The Phillies is coming into the game strong. They have Howard back to 100% after his knee surgery at the end of the 2007 Season. Howard looks to be blasting more than what he was last year, and will be much of a greater use. Their batting order also looks deadly.
