Choops 2k8 on the PC

Been following this board for ages decides to sign up, GO TERPS!!

Retired console gamer going back to the good ol pc. I keep a fat ps3 in the living room with a dead blu ray drive for streaming netflix and movies from my computer. R.i.p 2k8 career mode on ps3 20 years in all games played

Somehow still needed my fix. So I looked into ps2 emulation pcsx2 being the emulator. Listed as not working, research shows no topics whatsoever on the 2k series being emulated. Tried it myself, had a copy of choops 2k8 ps2 collecting dust, made an iso, tweaked some things and BAM! choops 2k8 ps2 version running at 60 fps perfectly in 1080p.

I recommend this to any who don't have a console aka the pc guys out there who enjoy choops. My cpu specs are win7 phenom II x4 965be, 4 gigs ram, and a 4870x2. Replacing my desktop with an alienware laptop more powerful than my current desktop(should be here in 2 weeks). choops on the go I play using a logitec rumble pad, soon to be wireless once my laptop arrives.

From ps3 version the gameplay is the same, only thing is the graphics are obviously lower but with the upscale ability of the emulator its looking better than on an original ps2.

If you still play consoles no doubt play the console version. If your like me and want to play it on pc/laptop this is the shiznit.

Only cons I see are the are no updated rosters, no online, etc. The good thing though which consoles can't do is the save state feature. Ever couldn't finish a game and had to sim until the end? No more you can save at any point on the emulator and pick right back up at anytime in the game

At work typing this, if anyone is interested i'll post back with some video footage. Also will help guide anyone on how to set this up if your a pc only guy

Yup it's legal, well in my case. I own a ps2, the game, and ripped the game myself. I get a lot of downtime at work, I knock out about 5 games a day in my legacy this game owns my soul lol just started conference play. I'll make a longer vid trying to capture an epic battle against dook or unc. Ready for next season, landed the #2 C in the nation from Frederick, MD. I need help down low can't wait. I use mkharsh's sliders with a few tweaks and play every game. Keep y'all posted.
