I am currently in a legacy with 2 other guys. Were all in the Big East and play on mop with the the settings as tough as they can be while still allowing you to win if you play well. So my question is the 6th man feature over done. Our winning % is way higher at home and when we go on the road some times we have no chance. Do you guys play with it on? I do want a team to have a home court advantage, but also want it to be realistic.

I considered this an awesome feature. I have pulled off wins on the road many times, but it is a challenge just like it should be. Playing away at UConn should be as difficult as hell. What you need to do is try and stop big plays and big runs. Use timeouts when the meter goes all the way up, and control the clock and get a good possession. If you do this you can make it so there is almost no home court advantage.

I play with it ON. I don't see a reason not to. The gameplay is more realistic with it on because it simulates..well...the 6th man. Playing against certain teams at home should be extremely difficult and the slightest mistakes can cost you the game, which is why the 6th man feature is so good. Once you start making those mistakes the other team is energized and gets pumped. Then if they're an elite team they proceed to smash you. Pretty realistic in my book. It makes you feel the pressure even from some of the weaker teams, makes you pay attention and not give anything up easily. It's one of the best, most realistic aspects of the game.

I hear that, but I just think the difference in the difficulty level when at home and on the road is to severe. I like playing with it on but just wish the effect wasn't so drastic. Just when I think our sliders are perfect I have Pitt come into my house (me being South Florida and I go on to beat them by 20. The very next game i go into Seton Hall and lose by 15 at there house. thanks for the feedback.

Yeah, I think it is way to powerful on MOP. Also, I'm not 100% sure there isn't a home court advantage already built in. I almost always have a significantly better record at home than I do on the road.
For example, I'm currently 9-1 at home versus 3-5 on the road.

I get you, if you play on MOP maybe that's the problem. Have you tried lowering the difficulty and seeing what happens? If you don't play on MOP then maybe bump it up to that.

My only gripe with 6th man is the players never lose energy....i dont care if a team goes on a 25-0 run, fatigue should set in at some point.

My only problem with it is when it happens for me. It seems like it happens at the perfect time for the CPU; but for it always happens just as I get fouled and sent to the line or something like that, so most of the meter drops by the time I actually get the ball back into play.
I just lost one heck of a Sweet Sixteen game against UNLV (I'm WKU in my dynasty right now). It was very fast paced and back and forth and both teams got the 6th man advantage several times. I think UNLV probably got to play with it on for a total of 2 or 3 minutes over the whole game. I might have gotten to actually play with it on for a minute or so.

I love it, plus the Team Unity Effect slider is at 100 for me.
College hoops baby! Not easy to get a W on the road! [/Dickie V]
