this game flat out sucks when you try to play cheese style because it tries so hard not to. I cant get half of the unlockables playing on default starter... what slider settings or rules can I change such that I still get the achievements?
Playing with an all time team 100 overall against a 62 rated team doesnt yield total domination like it should. I cant get 20 team steals or 10 team blocks.. what am I doing wrong?
I just want enough points to get all the classic teams. This game is beyond frustrating when you are trying to just get points.. I;m pulling my hair out here.
what am i doing wrong.. 1 player with 8 steals.. 1 player with 8 blocks. impossible. beating a team by 40 is hard as well for me on 10 min qrts. i tried 20 but it didnt qualify apparently.
this whole unlockable thing is pissing me off. i cant get any when I play with my modified sliders. so im not sure what to do besides play default 10 min halves.
as far as legacy unlockables, can i do that in open legacy. I just want to play with teams I spent hours naming...

What I did was just enjoy the game, and after 10 games you will be able to unlock about 3-8 teams. Then just keep playing until you get them all. Thats what I did.

thanks.. instant gradification is what I was after. and it just wasnt happening.. even on starter, 20 minute qrts, with an all conference team facing a ratings modified Uconn team (everyone a 35), the game still pushed and strived for realism.
you just cant take that away from this game. time to get off the cheese attempts and stick with what i know.

I would turn fatigue Off too and re-run ur test. Maybe Full-Court press all game, edit the opposing teams ball-handling abilities, all the cheesy suspects.
I played this game for almost 3yrs straight and counting and still only have 11 out of the 30 achievements, never signed a Top 10 recruit, never won a National Title (Won 1 Regular Season ACC Title, 1 ACC Torney Title, 1 Final-4 appearance), and never had a triple double.

i had played a few games with modified sliders and i guess the game doesnt take kindly to that as theres a warning as some changes may cause some issues with getting unlockables.
I'm finally almost 80% complete with the level 1,2, and 3 unlockables.
the key is to do it in 4-5 game intervals. 20 minute qrts with DEFAULT everything. so its just starter level. its surprinsgly almost non CHEESY even when you try to cheese.
I edited one whole team down to 35 overall in every aspect, and another team 99 overall in everything.. Even then, the games werent completely out of control. even at 99 for three point shots and 99 shot in traffic/off the dribble. alot of these shots had to be uncontested to be made. or shots where you had to let go of the button at the right time.
this game just really rewards you for playing right, which has me wondering why 90% of these unlockables are cheese laden.
one game was set for just the three pt unlockables and assists.. 35 team assists, 30 team threes, and one player with 15 assists. it took me 40 minutes of tough non stop playing to get that.
another game my goal was to play tough defense, and hold them to 30 pts and 30% shooting. so i lowered the minutes to 10.. !0 to 20 seems to be the range the game likes for unlockables.
im still 16 teams away from unlocking all the classic teams, with only the harder level 3s left. I think Im done trying to get anymore.
BEAT a team 85 overall worth 10 pts is obtainable down the line at some pt.
but BEAT a team 85 overall by 30 pts. is quite the challenge.
90% or 100% FT % with atleast 12 attempts is even a challenge for me with all my guys at 99 FT rating.
user gets 8 cons. FTs is a toughie as well.
10 team blocks is impossible. unless, I lower everyones height to 4 ft. and raise my guys to 7-3, it wont happen. Ive had 4-5 in a 40 minute game span with guys rated 99 overall on my squad to their squad being 35s.
one player gets a 5 by 5.. wont even try that ever. seeing that I think fouls need to be on for unlockables to work, im not sure how i could get that.
24 team steals is just as hard when im not sure what settings I can mess with. i dont think fouls can be messed up, or fatigue.
15 team blocks.. no thanks
theres countless others that are impossible.
I ran a open dynasty with UNC and have done some great things, but so far only two unlockables.. Ive accomplished others but I guess those are for closed legacy? like the recruiting unlockables?
this games so realistic and they pulled this crap?

I'm still a ways away from unlocking all the classic teams, I probably have at least 15-20 more to go. I switched over to PS3 last summer but I did unlock everything on my 360 before selling it. The only way I finally got everything unlocked on 360 was simming a closed legacy for a decade and playing a few exhibitions with All-Time UConn vs Yale on 20 minute default starter.
It's a huge pain, I still gotta get those other All-Time teams unlocked.
