Defensive tips

So after using a few different sliders sets and wondering why the cpu can almost score on will, I've come to the conclusion its not the sliders its me.

I just always give the CPU easy shots, I try my best to switch up defenses but just in my last game against Syracuse they were hitting every shot they went like 8/10 from the 3pt line and no matter what defense I used it didnt work.

I have my defensive pressure setting on 90 and never double team and play mostly man.

Any tips?

A lot of it has to do with...

A) Home court advantage/Sixth Man
B) Talent
C) Manually controlling a lot of defenders

The Cuse game, who were you and was at the Dome? If they went 8/10 I'm willing to be it was.

How often is this happening? I assume it's not every game just based on my experience with 2K8. IMO there are definitely pre-set trap games, some games you go in and the CPU will be on fire and you can't make an open lay up. Kinda frustrating but semi-realistic I guess.

It's funny, most video games don't do a good job of portraying a defensive presence for big men but after using Hasheem Thabeet so often in the game and then finally having him leave for the NBA - damn it's amazing how nasty he was (is) in the game. Now I get abused inside on the regular no matter what I D play, I just don't have the horses to lock down the paint anymore. I still have a few 7-footers on the roster in Year 3 but they have low D awr and decent shot blocking but they're in the 60's ovr and any decent opponent will pretty much get theirs.
