who was the best in your legacy you have coached by recruitment or jus inherited by switching schools?

Re: who was your best player

Without question for me it was Calvin Worthy. He was a legend in my UCF legacy. I recruited him in 2012 as a 4-star and he was part of my first great recruiting class that I knew was going to do some damage once they were seniors.

Worthy was a 6'10'' small forward who could handle as well as anyone and was faster than any player in the country. He didn't start his first two years but always was productive off the bench with a crazy high field goal percentage.

By the time it was his senior year in 2015 I still hadn't won a national title yet although I had come close especially in 2014 losing on a buzzer-beater in the Final Four against Michigan State.

I kind of went into F-You mode for Worthy's senior year and wasn't going to take any team lightly and was going to blowout teams as much as possible because I really wanted to win it all the year before.

He was a man among boys averaging 39.0 ppg while shooting 68 percent from the field and attempting an average of 10 free throws per game.

He scored as much as 58 in a game while connecting on all 25 of his free throw attempts in that contest.

I won in the Final Four by 50 in the semifinal and then in the title game beat Texas Tech by 14 to cap off my only ever undefeated season of 34-0.

Since then I have obviously had to change the sliders but I still feel Worthy could dominate now as much as ever. I have never gone undefeated since that season and I'm now in 2024.

He was truly unstoppable and maybe the greatest video game player I have ever encountered in my career.

Re: who was your best player

First job was Liberty and I had Seth Curry (67ovr). I stayed for 2 years and light it up with him. He was my team. In his first year I avg 33.7ppg then in year two it was up to 44.8ppg and made it to the Final Four. He won player of the year his second year.
But he was beat out as the best with my first class at Houston. I took over after that Final Four run and there coach retired. I got a 6'11'' PF that had a 87 3-point rating. He was a beast. Most PF's I played were like 6'8" and I could shoot over them. He had handles as well so he became my point forward. He led the nation in points(47.3ppg), boards(12.2rpg), and blocks(4.6bpg). He left after 2 years and was 91ovr. I wish I had a better team but Houston was bad when I got there but in 4 years they were top 25 and best in C-USA.
I wish I could have keep that legacy going but while my brother was house sitting for me, he deleted the file by mistake. Not sure what he was doing but I was pissed. But I'm working on a new one now and only hope to have a player like my 6'11" man-child.

Re: who was your best player

One of my best players I coached was a 4 star SG from Serbia by the name of Johann Grkovic. Standing at 6'4 with amazing handles and a quick jumper made this guy the play-maker for the team. I mainly used him for the PG position where he excelled. Consistently scoring 15-20 ppg with 4-8 assist per game.

Now I have a 7' C Gerald Surov (also from Serbia) who has a Dunk Standing of 85 and is a MONSTER on the offensive glass. Its already halfway thru the season and 85% of the games he played all had double doubles.
Along with the C, I have a 85 ovr freshman SG who plays the Point postion who is a scoring machine. It is a rare occasion to see the defense hold him down to just single digits. He can open up spots on the floor by drawing the help D to find the own man.

Roshaun Staten, a 6-4 point guard from Texas, he was #4 player overall. I was able to sign him at Georgia Tech, he left after his freshman season. He averaged 21 ppg, 7 rpg, and 7 apg. He was basically unstoppable off the dribble and could finish around the basket better than anyone I've ever had. We went from 13-16 the year before (and losing our two top scorers) to 24-8, losing in the 2nd Rd of the tournament.

Re: who was your best player

Ive been playing this non-stop since i found an ethernet cord in the back of my closet and got the patch. im in the year 3037 in my career legacy and just one my first nat'l championship with kansas, though it was a strange road to get there. i started my career legacy at long island, and in 2015, i got my first McDonalds AA who was a 6'9" small forward. he had 94 dunk but only c potential. i won the conf with an 81 rated team and the 85 rated sf, and i got an even better one the next year who was the number 2 player in the country, he was only rated 81 but had b+ potential so i figured hes going to the nba sooner or later. i made the sweet sixteen two years later with sick junior-senior tandem of 6'9 small forwards both rated 90. i got scorched by a sick duke team rated 96 with a bunch of unathletic white point guards with c- potential though lol. i got a job offer from minnesota and got the hell out of there, as both stars left and the remnants were rated a miserable 75, down 14 points. so i blew through minnesota and made the sweet sixteen with an above avg team i inherited, though a guy i recruited (a 6-10 4 star pf with a potential) made the nba his senior year after i left). 3 years later i left for a weak UNC squad with 5 seniors leaving, but 2 mcdonalds AA's coming in, so i had a nucleus to build around. i stayed there for six years and recruited a bunch of underclass 5 stars. my best player (hence where any of this is relevant) was this 5 star foreign point guard from the bahamas, whose name and appearance i edited to make him more bad-***, and when he comes in he is the star of the number one recruiting class of 4 mcdonalds AA's and himself and 2 other 4 stars, not to mention my "farm system" of 5 star underlcassmen. my pg from the bahamas ended up having a potential and 97 passing to go with 99 speed and 88 quickness, 75 3pt and 88 layup, but 35 dunk lol. needless to say, i had some fun times with him doing some magic johnson no look behind the back through the leg passes on some weak low majors. so my monster recruiting class mainly redshirts as i already have a solid 90 ovr team ahead of them filled with skilled but not talented low-high 80's players. i simmed through that season, and the next year, im dissapointed to find my team is only rated 87. so im like im gettin the hell out of here. the year is 2028. at the season's end, i leave for kansas who is 92 ovr, and find that i was fooled and all of the good guys left!. this is where part two begins
-------------------------------------------
at the seasons start, unc is ranked 15 overall, but has a scary core of like 8 mcdonalds all americans, and due to my heavy underclass recruiting, they're rolling in and out like a factory (much like in real life) and im feelin like a fool for being impatient. we both have average years, unc finishes in the sweet sixteen, but i get the num one recruiting class like nothing. the next year, im unranked preseason, but unc is ranked 8 with a 95 ovr team led by 88 ovr freshman 6'5" steve mccurry. i recruited him and he actually beat me in season 99-85 on my homecourt. this season went slightly different, unc made the elite eight as a 4 seed; me being a 2 seed gets upset by a 15 seed...i wanted to turn the xbox off lol. so i get another top 10 class, and unc gets another top class with my recruits, this time only 2 AA's but a slew of 4 stars with high ovr and low potential...the best kinds. this year is really when i felt the error in leaving my heels. i come in all high and mighty as the number 8 ovr preseason team rollin 10 deep with 7 all americans and like 8 sharpshooters, 2 all american big men, and a 95 rated team including my favorite player to date, this combo guard named shawn dixon, he had 79 3 pt, 97 spd and 95 quickness but 80 consistency too so i could actually miss shots with him. the season went well, and i beat UNC 93-79 on their home court, but lost in the sweet sixteen again to a tough duke team, they played the spoiler yet again. so all of unc's guys graduated, but i kept the recruiting class as i plan on putting them all in nba 2k8 if i can get it soon. the suspense continued yesterday afternoon with the next season, i inherited pretty much the same team minus dixon, who left early at 90 overall. i started the season at the top spot, and didnt lose a single game, my squad was scorching teams like 118-30, they had 99 rated offense and 100 rated shooting, but none of the guys were rated over 89. we cruised to the nat'l championship and i was coach of the year for the first time, picking up win number 600 along the way. i played part of the next season already, my team is num 1 again with the same sharpshooters and another 100 rated shooting team. we torched columbia 126 to 42 (i simmed it) and it looks like i might repeat, or better. im recruiting the number one player in the nation, as i have just one scholly, hes a 6'7 211 pound small forward with a+ potential in the recruiting thingy, so hes gonna have a bright future in the league comin out of kansas. this legacy has gotten so ridiculously easy i just turn offensive tempo, def pressure (got a 96 rated defensive team) and fast breaks up to 100 and my dudes drop 110+ on any given night, its like playin with the magic. rollin 11 deep this year, my lowest rated dude is a 78 and the avg is prolly 85. i might retire soon as it probably wont get much harder from here;

Note: this all took place starting sunday afternoon and lasted about 4 days, i play about 3 or 4 big games a year and leave assisted recruiting on but i do most of it myself- because of this game im gonna get a D in language arts this marking period

Re: who was your best player

Damien Collins was his name (6'4 SG out of the Netherlands) and he saved my program 9 years into my career.

My #3 seed Mighty Monarchs had just been booted out of the tournament in the first-round by a lowly rated IVY league team (Princeton ). We were starting four seniors and a junior who was slated to be a top-pick in the NBA draft, so big things were expected of that team. Losing in the first-round to an IVY league team resulted in a loss of a lot big-time recruiting battles; and with none of my starting line-up returning, I was really couting on that next-generation of quality players to keep my program respectable.

Recruiting season started and I had six scholarships available and all of the guys I had been working on had signed elsewhere. I used five scholarships on average 3-star guys who were decent, but nothing special. Then with one week left in the off-season, I was browsing the recruits one final time and stumbled upon a five-star player from Iceland who had not recieved any scholarship offers.

His game-tape revleaed that he was a great shooter but I did not know any of his other attributes; with nothing to lose, I took a chance and offered him my final scholarship (he was the first and only 5-star player to ever play for my school). The next season I checked his ratings and he did not have any weaknesses, I have no idea how he slipped under the radar of every other school in the country.

I started him his freshman year (he averaged 18 a night) and he lead us to the sweet sixteen. His sophmore year he lead my program to a NCAA title victory. His last two years did not have anymore championship runs, but he continued to dominate, won multiple awards, and raised my schools prestige to a point that we were able to recruit a new generation of high-quality players (he could have left for the NBA after his freshman year, but he chose to stay with us for all four years).

Damien Collins will always be remembered as the 6-4 SG from the Netherlands who nobody wanted, yet went on to prove everyone who passed on him wrong, and saved my program in the process.

Re: who was your best player

I remember in my 7th or 8th year in my legacy UNLV had a 6'10 SG who KILLED me every game. All he had to do is to shoot over defenders.
