National Championship celebration

How is it in this game? I may or may not ever win one so I was just wondering how it is. Everything else in this game is so well done I bet it's awesome. Anyone care to offer their opinions on the championship cut scenes?

Re: National Championship celebration

There wasn't really a cutscene, I might have skipped it by accident or something but for me the announcer mentioned how we won the championship then it showed a newspaper with the front page reading bethune cookman wins in triple overtime (then the score, can't remember what is was). It displayed the star of the game Mike White's face on the page and mentioned some stats. Like I said I waited for some sort of net cutting scene but nothing happened then I skipped the whole wrap up show, which was probably where they would of shown it.

I somehow won it my first year in career legacy. I used Luke's roster file with 500bloc's slider settings on All-Conference.

I played with Bethune-Cookman and went 30-1 in the season, won my conference championship and had to play Memphis the 1st round which was a surprisingly easy game. Then I played UW-Green Bay and one other team, forgot, and finally had to play Tennessee in the championship game.

That game was very hard, I hit a clutch 3 to tie it with a minute left in regulation and got a stop on the other end but couldn't hit the jumper to go ahead by two. First overtime I though I had it won with 1 minute left but they somehow hit clutch 3's. Second overtime I was the one hitting clutch 3's. Third overtime I got a 3 point lead with a minute left in the game and stopped them from scoring twice but missed my shots as well. They fouled me for the last 25 seconds but I kept running around wasting time plus they only had 1 team foul to start so they had to foul 5 times and there just wasn't enough time.

The inbound press was ridiculous.

You don't have to tell me about the inbound press. I might very well be the world's worst player at breaking the press. I got so pis$ed playing Missouri last season b/c they pressed me the whole game. I must have had 20 turnovers. But...Mizzou does that in real life so that's just another amazing thing about this game.

It was crazy because for one I was using BCC, which doesn't really match up well with Tennessee, lol, and I was having a lot of those OMG moments when I'd score or get a stop exactly when I needed it but then couldn't hit once I had the lead so it was usually close, the entire game I'd either be up or down by 5 or less. Then I got scared because with around 5 minutes left in the 2th half I was down 12 points.

I love when I'd have games like this in NBA2k or on NCAA Football when it was on the old xbox. Back and forth clutchness.

500bloc's sliders are great and so is Luke's roster file (it's not 100% finished though). They both provide realistic stats and a good overall experience. The only reason why I went 30-1 was because Bethune-Cookman is in a scrubby conference and I didn't schedule any top schools to play at the start of the season. My one loss was to Georgia State of all teams. The Memphis game in the Tourney was easy because I just played their 3 point shooters tight and double teamed them a lot.

As for my game with Tennessee, they were hitting contested jumpers all day and kept beating my guys on defense for easy layups/dunks off of screens, turnovers and fastbreaks (inbound press). The only reason I did so well was probably because I had it on All-Conference because I didn't think I could win too many games with BCC on anything higher. Plus I play a very patient half court style offense where I move the ball around the perimeter and inside to space the defenders. It's all about getting the best possible shot for me, which can be a mismatch down low when a SG rotates to gaurd my center or just making tons of passes to clear space for my SG or SF to take uncontested 3's.

Re: National Championship celebration

sound like a great game. Reminds me of my 3rd round game. was down by around 25 points with 8 mins to go came back and won by 2-4 points. ready to get passed these conference games (where I usually don't play as many games as frequently) and get to the tourney. You gonna leave BCC or stick with it?

I'm trying to stick with Bethune-Cookman for as long as I can until Florida Atlantic or Miami offer me a contract. It depends though because I like Bethune-Cookman's uniform and court. The only thing I don't really like about them is their conference isn't very competitive. It's hard to get a tourney bid unless you've got like 25 wins on the season.

Initially I planned to slowly move from BCC then FAU and finally end up at Miami, but if I'm doing good with BCC I'll probably just stay with them until I earn enough notoriety to be hired by Miami.

I'll be starting a new career legacy with BCC once Seryn finishes editing the WCC on Luke's roster file. It's not 100% complete but it'll have all the power conferences done and some majors I think so it's certainly better than nothing. I'll try and stick with BCC for as long as I can on that one.
