Getting Scholarships

If you cut a player, do you gain a scholarship. I know some guys have a W for walk on, but cutting the other guys should give you a scholarship to recruit with right?

If the player you are cutting, a player that originally came on a scholarship, then yes.

However you will have to wait until the following year to receive it, so if you plan on cutting a senior then it would be pointless, as u would not gain anything from it that year, however an underclassman (JR, SOPH, or Frosh) would generally make more sense.

If there isn't a walk-on symbol, then they are on scholarship.
