I like to lose in this game! How crazy is that?

What I mean is, when my team is too good, I get bored. Right now in Year Four of my legacy, I've built a really strong program that is starting to dominate my low-major conference.

But I think I'm gonna leave after this year. How fun is it when I play 16 games a year against crappy teams? Sure, it might be fun to play non-conference and NCAA tourney games, but the beauty of College Hoops 2k8 is having a team that you're working so hard to win with, but you just can't pull through.

When I'm using every possible strategy and tactic and I just can't win, that's when this game gets fun. I feel like I'm really preparing for opponents and playing like a real coach would.

There is something oddly awesome about playing with a crappy team... and it makes it even better when you finally make them good. That's when this game gets rewarding.

I know how you feel. I couldn't secure my dynasty title and was knocked out of the NCAA Tourney in the Final Four by #5 Marquette. Lost by 1 by giving up the open three with 6.3 sec. left. Man-oh-man i was very happy and sad at the same time. It hurts to think about it.

I totally feel you. I was rolling through my non-conference schedule in season 2 (Texas State), and had upset the likes of Texas, Texas A&M, and Notre Dame. Then, after a few conference games I was like "dammit, I need to edit my sliders, this is ridiculous"...................then.............out of nowhere.........I get smacked down by Central Arkansas. What? I guess I don't need a slider change after all, b/c then I lost to UTSA the next game. That's the beauty of this game. Can't take any game for granted. By the way, finished the year 24-9 and made a 2nd round NCAA exit to Louisville by 10 points as a #10 seed.

**I play with Texas State and I'm probably not NEAR as good as you guys, so keep that in mind if you use these. I tend to run a 2-3 zone and play as the point guard on defense the whole time. I also like to slap at the ball handler a lot (hence the reach in penalty slider)...at least until I start to get into the bonus area or foul trouble). Hope these help.

I love this aspect in any sports game but, this game the lose doesn't feel cheep at all. I love this game. I play in the MAC and was 4-7 in non conferance play and was 15-0 in conferance when I faced 11-17 Central Michigan who defeated me by 19!!!! To make matters worse my next game was round 2 of the MAC tourney and guess who Central Michigan. I had to fight this team tooth and nail to get the win. I eventually lost in the 2nd round of the NCAA tourny. This season I lost to SWMU by 8 and was crushed by Duke.

I forgot to mention last season I took Toledo to Kansas and was defeated 44-104!!! I was completley outclassed the entire game. I plan on facing them again and getting payback.

No video game moment has ever stung more than losing in the first round of the tournament with my Maryland team that I was SURE was going to the final four. We were a 6th seed, but I was sure of it. When they hit a baseline hook to go up by 2 with 1.7 left, I felt ill.


What video game in history, when playing the CPU and not another human, could ever duplicate that feeling!!!!! I love it, God I felt like ****.
