fellas i am proud to say that after years and years of searching i have finally found a credible source that provides the proper information for college hoops to be updated with old rosters going back as far as 96-97 i for one am extremely excited about the possibilities now that i have found what im looking for and im about to start working on a few things. now this project is going to be an extremely long labor of love but i am optimistic that the end result will bring satisfaction to all. if you would like to help let me know other than that boys im going to work on this if not for os for myself

Not to toot my own horn. But awhile back I uploaded my own "classic rosters" to 2KShare under my gamertag..Laettner32. It has most of the in-game classic teams from like '85 on. But what I did that was different, I personally never played any of the real old teams...like '60 something San Francisco, or WVU. So I just edited those teams to my own "classic" teams from the past that did not make 2K8s cut. (Sorry I can't recall the exact year off the top of my head right now) but the 80's Pitt squad with Sean Miller, Jerome Lane, Charles Smith. The late 80's Iowa Hawkeye team of Roy Marble, B.J. Armstrong and Ed Horton. The 2003 Texas squad with T.J. Ford. Jim Jacksons Ohio St. F4 team, Rex Chapmans UK squad, the Vernon Maxwell/Dwayne Schintzius UF squad, the '87 Running Rebels with Gilliam, Banks and Wade...and a "potluck" squad of great NCAA players whose team isn't in it...like Chris Corchiani, Bryant Stith, J.R. Rider and Kevin Durant. These represent alot of the teams I grew up admiring and personally would play alot more than the classic UTEP team in the game. Some of the roster numbers may be incorrect, but I searched alot to get as real an avatar as the real life version. I also think either a Georgetown or UK squad I decided to go with another year than the one listed. I really like the Hoya squad with a frosh Mourning and Charles Smith at guard and the UK squad from like '94 that lit everyone up until the F4 with Travis Ford, Delk, Antoine Walker, etc...If your in your mid 30's like me, these will be alot of teams you remember from HS and college.

I have a lot of old NCAA hoops stats and info from the 80's and 90s that I could rummage through if you get stuck on anything. I pretty much have everything on Michigan State (stats, photos, etc.) and a lot of Big 10 stuff.

I might be able to help out making some teams if I can find the time.

I did something like this (on a much smaller scale) for 2K5 on X-Box quite a few years ago.

And I'll definitely check out Laettner32's roster set. It sounds cool!

yes, they are for the 360. This was mainly done as a personal project, I did spend hours getting names from various sites, but it is difficult to get full rosters for some teams in the 80's and 90's. Sometimes I just had to read articles to find out about some bench players. Hope you enjoy 'em. Also, some say T.J. may be rated a little high..I think he is a 96 or 97. But I had to really bump up his assist, speed, and such because he was not a very good shooter and to make him POY caliber I had to exaggerate some other aspects of his game to make up for his less than stellar shooting.

thanks for the response! i'll have to grab these...

i use portlandblazer's rosters for nba 2k8 and have purchased some older nba historical books and magazines (dirt cheap)...i think basketball (both pro and college) was at its peak in the 1980's - there were some college powerhouses then and the pro game had a real fluidity to it...i miss those days.

i mos def will appreciate any resources you guys have. i started working on the 95 96 season so i got the names of the players but what i mainly get stuck on is jersey numbers and color of players so if u guys have pictures etc i would appreciate any resources. BY THE WAY THE ACC IS COMPLETE FOR 96 just working on tendencies i got todd fuller and tim duncan scoring over 20 a game. hey seryn u sound like u got some resources we can use ill start on the big ten next being that you might have alot of what i need
