Recruits

Is it just me or are they not enough C and PF prospects that are All Americans. It seems that most of the time its PG anyone else have the problem and if so do you do anything about it like create some prospects.

Yea, there is gonna be way more guards than F's and C's in the top 25 recruits. Creating players won't help much...therefore I edit positions just like coaches do in real life...also like real life most point guards who come out of HS end up player SG, CH2k8 have pg's who don't have the skill to play pg, I like to change them into sg...some sg who come out are big enuff to play sf(this is how u get more fowards) and remember this is college not the NBA where a NBA SF could pass as a PF or even a Center...

Basically I've gotten so into my legacy that I edit every team before each season, now my rosters look like an authentic college basketball lineup..most of the players are listed at either SG or PF and the reason for this is becuz now teams will sub realistically base on the depth chart, I wanted PG,SF and Center to be the elite positions..PG has to have 80+ rating for both handle and passing; SF will be SF if they are too skilled as a G but too small to play PF and have to be a starter; Centers are atleast 6'8 260+..even tho 75% of the players in my legacy are either SG or PF the CPU is smart enuff to use the players correctly for example: if I have a 6'6 player listed at PF but has the skills of a guard, the CPU will also play him at sf sometimes even at SG it's like there are hidden second positions...my game really fell like college basketball now instead with teams looking like NBA squads...besides editing positions I also edit height too..times it seem like the power conf get the small PF and centers while the non powers get those 7 footers(i guess cuz they are rated low) so now I add two inches to every power conf player who are listed as a foward or center(by default) who are under 6'10..EX: a 6'6 PF will be adjusted to 6'8...for non powers I take away two inches to fowards and centers who 6'10 or taller..EX: a 6'10 center will be adjusted to 6'8 LOL hey it happens in real life beasly went from 6'10 to about 6'8 at draft camp!

These are just a few of my house rules/fixes I do in my legacy, just wanted to share them!

Re: Recruits

Thanks for the relpy. So do you edit some of the top freshman that come in as well to better mimic college basketball today so that they are about 5 freshman that leave to go pro. I cant seem to get more than a freshman or two to leave early. Any help would be great because I love this game.

How long do those adjustments take you?

Re: Recruits

Alot of guys here have different methods to get freshman to leave early, I just keep it simple and just edit the top 13 HSAA to 99 awr both off and def and 99 potential, I keep their other ratings untouch plus awr change seem realistic becuz those guys are one and done not only becuz their potential but becuz of their high basketball IQ...I also edit their tendencies(+20 for inside, med, 3pt, drive) so they can score atleast 15 a game

I never spent a whole day doing the edits so I don't know how long it would take but it takes me atleast 30 mins for one conf

Re: Recruits

I guess just editing the AAs would be worth it as that shouldn't take too long, but going through each conference and editing most of the recruits might be a little too much for me.

It can be a LITTLE time consuming but I'm a roster guy so it's actually kind of fun to me LOL....

The past two season, I just edit on the fly basically just editing my conference and just editing teams as I play them....

Ahh, you said top-13 HSAAs... I guess that's why I have wayyyy too many high-80 or 90 freshman. The day I went into the offseason, I didn't have internet and was going to check what you did with your freshman to get a few to leave early. Not knowing, I gave all AAs incredibly high awareness and even a few non-AA Mr. Basketballs a very generous boost. Now I know I don't need to do it for that many players.

Re: Recruits

I create 4 and 5 * HS junior recruits at the PF and C positions, along with one or two big PGs. I do juniors because it seems like the HS seniors don't get any interest from the CPU for a couple weeks and I like to be able to feel like it's an even field, recruiting wise. It takes a while to make 'em right, but when you consider the amount of time it takes to play a season through, it's worth it.

Re: Recruits

I just signed the #1 player in the country, a 6-10 SF out of Baltimore, Maryland! This kid looks like he's the 2nd coming of Kevin Durant. I've never signed a 5*, let alone the #1 player in any class. I'm guessing the void at SF on my roster played a huge part in why he decided to come to Gainesville. I was thinking about leaving Florida after this season, but looks like I won't be going anywhere!
