MM is very arcadish. When you can go from standing flat footed in the paint to an insane dunk without even stepping, it looks silly. Comparing these two games is like comparing a BMW to a Ford.

Not trying to convince anyone..

I think they both have promising things about them..

I'm just trying to let people see, they can enjoy two games at once...instead of stereotyping, one over the other...like everyone does every year.

I am harder than anyone on this years choops but mm wouldn't even get a buy from me.. looks far too robotic and the dribble to shot transition animations are horrid... there really is no comparison gameplay wise(based purely on that video)

I played the MM demo (thus I'm not stereotyping, I'm speaking from experience) and there's absolutely no chance in hell that I could play MM. The animations are just about the worse I've ever seen in any game. This is odd since I like NCAA08 and think the players move very fluid in that game. The up-close shots of players faces are pretty amazing, but the rest of the player graphics are incredibly, amazingly bad. The players have no fluidity to them at all.

I'm definitely all about gameplay when it comes to games and graphics aren't a close consideration for me (I always play sports games zoomed so far out that I can't really see how good the graphics are anyway). That being said, I would probably require a minimum level of graphics and animation, and the horrible animation of MM is so stupifyingly bad that I wanted to tear my eyes out after playing for half an hour. This was surprising to me, because I've always heard that the graphics are the one area where MM is better than CH.

In your other thread, someone said that the animations in MM look like they're out of Double Dribble (just look at anyone jumping for a rebound....). Sadly enough, that's a very fair and realistic comparison. I know that a lot of people on these boards seem to be anti-EA. I'm not anti or pro EA or 2K. I'll always choose the best out there, and unquestionably, that is CH2K8.

no one is stereotyping any game. We are speaking from experience. Just because you enjoy the game, doesn't mean everyone else should. Glad you like the game. But it is light years behind College Hoops in every category.
