The roster I downloaded two days ago has Crawford on Xavier, he is the 6th man.
Like I said the Xavier roster is good except Derrick Brown was still on it.

Re: Xbox 360: 2009-2010 Roster Project.

So i downloaded these rosters and I was wondering why everyone is rated so low? I mean the highest any team is rated is like a high 80's. Shouldn't Kansas and Memphis be rated in the low to mid 90's and the other teams rated accordingly?

As a Big 10 fan, the overalls were a little questionable as far as order. The consensus projection for the Big Ten right now is:
1. MSU
2. Purdue
3. OSU
4. Illinois
5. Michigan
6. Wisconsin
7. Penn State
8. Minnesota
9. Northwestern
10. Iowa
11. Indiana

I also thought the whole league was kind of underrated, the big ten is a lot better this year than in years past and they have 6 teams in the top 25.

Also, as an Illinois fan:
Demitri Mccamey is the most talented player on the team.
The starters will be:
PG- McCamey
SG- D.J. Richardson
SG- Alex Legion
PF- Mike Davis
C- Mike Tisdale

D.J. Richardson is the best defender on the team, Legion is the best 3pt shooter on the team. Davis has a good midrange jumper and should be rated the same or slightly higher than Tisdale. Off the bench Dominique Keller, Brandon Paul, Tyler Griffey, and Jeff Jordan will all have a serious impact. Dominique Keller is talented enough to be a starter, and definitely the most talented off the bench. Brandon Paul is the most athletic on the team, and also best dunker. Griffey is a hustle player who is solid all the way around, and Jordan is mainly a defensive stopper (2nd best defender on the team).

Re: Xbox 360: 2009-2010 Roster Project.

The ratings haven't been changed, so the overalls of every team are going to be low. As for the team ratings being low, look at the classic teams. The best teams are in the low 90s, and there haven't been any teams recently that are as good as most of them with the exception of UNC last year.

One of the things DC and I agreed on with last year's file was to ignore overall ratings and focus on realism, and I believe that Seryn has continued to do so with this file.

The second half of your post is great. Working on files like this is extremely time consuming, and helping out with little things such as rotations can be a big help.

Also, Seryn, if you go to team pages on Yahoo and then go to the Team Report, it lists the projected starting line-ups for a lot of the teams.

For Memphis it lists: Mack, Williams, Sallie, Witherspoon, and Niles

I am not for sure how close you really follow Illinois bball but Jeff Jordan is no longer on the team. He left the team about 3 months ago, see link below.

Also Indiana will be greatly improved this year and will not finish last, Iowa is going to be really bad.

Jeff Jordan should not be on the latest version. Although I did hear something recently that he was reconsidering joining the team. Don't remember where I read that though . . .

Regarding starting lineups, I just have the game auto-generate the rotations. That's really more effort than I can put into this, especially since lineup changes happen all the time anyway.

And regarding the ratings = what Cubsfan said. We're using the same system he and DC used for last year, and those rosters simulated out very accurately when comparing game stats to actual player stats.

Now, if only raiderfan would post about his progress . . .

Re: Xbox 360: 2009-2010 Roster Project.

Hey, I finally downloaded the most recent roster you posted so I figured I'd give a little insight on Memphis.

I'm not going to get into ratings, because I know you don't want to hear it (*cough* Williams will probably be Memphis' best player this year and is will probably be deserving of around a 78 once you edit everything around where it will be *cough*).

First off, Drew Barham was on the roster earlier, and now he isn't there. He'll be getting a lot of playing time, and will probably be at least one of the top 4 bench players. He's a shooter, and can hit the 3 ball really well, though not on the same level as Mack and Sallie.

Actually, if you don't mind when you need a break from the file once you get it back I'll go in and fix Memphis, post the file, and then you can edit them to your liking. Their overall rating is pretty much spot on imo, but the wrong players have those ratings for some reason.

I'll also go in and fix some starting line-ups when I do that.

Also, I know you mentioned you haven't gotten to all of them yet, but I thought I'd let you know that Eric Maynor is still on VCU.

Jeff Jordan should be on the game. He is back with the team.

Cubsfan;

That sounds great.

Raiderfan hasn't posted in over two weeks, so I'm really not sure if he's working on them or not . . .

jt45 (gamertag is tbryan_ato) made some Sun Belt edits (removed several players that were gone and advanced all classifications).

If you have time to work on the rosters, my suggestion would be to take jt45's rosters and update Memphis, etc., and then let me know when you're done and I'll finish up the MAC and make all the corrections listed above.

With the season starting soon, I hate to wait for raiderfan any longer when there are other people willing to work on it.

Let me know what you think.

OK--I've got some time to work on the roster this weekend, so I've DL'd jt45's Sun Belt-updated roster and am working on that.
