Ratings Help - Need a solid ratings scale

I'm looking to do some ratings edits on GoodFella's rosters, but I'm unclear on what number scale to use. Would this sound about right?

64 and below - Poor
65-69 - below average
70-74 - Average
75-79 - Good
80-84 - Very Good
85-89 - Great
90+ - Awesome

Also, how do potential ratings affect Freshmen and what their starting rating should be?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

well this actually depends on what calibur team it is. For example a team like Duke will have their highest rated player around mid to high 80s. Other small teams like Detroit or Cleveland State (who beat Syracuse by the way) will have their high around 69-75 but your scale is pretty good. Frosh starters should be around the 77-84 mark, considering how well Greg Monroe and Al-Farouq Aminu or Samardo Samuels is doing.

Thanks for the feedback, alex96. So you would say that the scale is solid, but the ratings may tip one way or another based upon the player's class and the team status? Also, is the offensive and defensive awareness the way to limit a Frosh's overall rating, without diminishing their skill level numbers?

This may not be exactly what you're looking for, but I've found it useful for rating players.

It's an Excel spreadsheet that coverts actual stats to in-game ratings, and factors in player's class/experience, team RPI, and strength of schedule.
