Questions before I buy the game

I passed on this game last year, but now I plan on getting it once my 360 is brought back to life after suffering the RROD. It seems current rosters have not been completed yet, but I'm fine using last year's rosters. My questions are:

1) I only have a Silver Xbox Live account. Can I still download rosters from 2KShare, or do I need to upgrade to Gold?
2) Are there any rosters floating around that contain names for all of the classic rosters?
3) Are there better rosters available offline? I have an Xport that I often use to download rosters for NBA2K8, for example. I've searchd the boards here but haven't found a good roster set.

1. You can download rosters off of 2k share with just the silver account

3. I would recommend DKrause's for last year's rosters. They are on 2k share under RomanCaesar. I think his last update was May or something, but they were outstanding! As far as the Xport question, I know you can use it to transfer rosters, but I would just suggest getting them off of 2k share if possible. It's a lot easier.

Thanks! My 360 got repaired much quicker than I was expecting, so I'm hoping to start this game next week.
