Official OS Xbox Community Roster File Thread

I know there's a thread for a signup a few posts down, but right now at this point its not needed. We solely need individuals willing to spend time on inputting names.

Recently I calculated how many players per conference there was. I would initially like to name the Big 6 conferences- in order of largest to smallest, and then continue on with the other 26 in the same order from largest conference to smallest. Here is that List below

Big 6: Top Priority:
1. Big East- 200 Players to Name
2. Big 12- 163 Players to Name
3. ACC- 153 Players to Name
4. SEC- 142 Players to Name
5. Big 10- 140 Players to Name
6. Pac 10- 129 Players to Name
---
A10 176
Sun Belt 173
Southland 162
MAC 157
CAA 153
CUSA 151
Indep. 141
MEAC 138
OVC 138
MVC 137
Southern 137
NEC 136
SWAC 136
A-Sun 134
MAAC 125
MWC 121
American East 119
Big Sky 119
WAC 119
Horizon 115
Ivy 114
Big West 107
Big South 106
Patriot 106
West Coast 106
Mid Cont. 103

I have listed these to give volunteers a timetable of what to expect if they were to donate their time to inputting one or two conferenes or more... Now given, we don't have to go in order. So if you only have an hour to spare and want to help when theres an open timeslot, you could simply take the smallest conference.

I'd also like to say, time is a huge priority for us. You can not say that youre willing to help, take the file from the site, and come back half a day later with only 2 conferences done. Sadly, we don't work like that. We try to be be quick. Emergencies are understandable but at the same time, everyone else is waiting for just one person to get his share done. so its also not fair to people waiting to help.
This is where communication is key. We want this out ASAP, so only help if you can put in the time as soon as you get the file and post it back up when you are done.

Everyone should be familiar with last years format.
-User 1 creates a new roster on his game. He inputs a conference... then uploads to OS for User 2 to download and continue.

We will be using Action Replay like usual.

Lastly, Here is a compiled Excel, HTM, and Text file to aid you in naming names. There is zero research involved. We have covered the hardpart.

Everyone should be using this File when you are helping:

Thanks to: dkrause1971 & ADA885 for contributions to 2 conferences.
Big Thanks to wesley2121 and Gboro Kidd for atleast 20 conferences.

2 mb HTM file:
http://home.comcast.net/~whopp7/OS-MasterNameList.htm

900kb editable Excel XLS file:
http://home.comcast.net/~whopp7/OS-MasterNameList.xls

Somewhat messy 300kb converted txt file:
http://home.comcast.net/~whopp7/OS-MasterNameList.txt
-----------------------
Phase 1 involves solely naming players. Do not worry about number changes, redshirts, ineligiblities, etc.. Those will be covered in later editions. We want Default names first and foremost.

For the first person to get the game tomorrow and get this going, please post here with your intentions. State it as clear as you can that you are starting the roster file. last year we had a few people do double work because of a lack of communication.

Good luck. I did not intend for this to confuse anyone, so if it does just come back tomorrow when we get going to see how it goes. I hope the excel aids everyone in quicker name inputs.

If anyone disagrees with my set plan. let me know. I just thought Id try to give everyone a bit of direction. Hope it helps.

Whoever's has the Big East roster, here's the edits for Seton Hall

Larry Davis wears #35, as #12 is retired
Paul Grause should be Paul Gause
Jamar Nutter got another year of eligibility, he's now a junior.

Re: Xbox OS Community Roster File Official Post

I'll probably have the game in an hour or so. If no one gets the file before then I'll knock out the SEC or ACC.
