Whats the difference between Xport and maxdrive? Can I just use a regular memory stick ? I have a ps2 and I want to put the names on my ESPN college hoops 2k5.
Much Thanks

A flash drive isn't going to do you much good without the MD PS2 disc which enables the console to recognize the USB slots as a memory source. Plus, I wouldn't use any other type of flash drive except for the specific MD one. It seems kinda glitchy as it is. Until Datel can fully iron out all the details, I wouldn't risk it.

Despite this, I would fully recommend the Max Drive though. I have never used the Sharkport or Xport, but from what I have read about them in the past, they seem to be far more complex and likely to screw up your data than the MD is. Not to mention that it looks like Datel is certainly focussing more time and energy into the Max Drive while trying to distance themselve from the older save transfer devices.

Well, the disc comes with the Max Drive, as for how you can acquire it in, uh, "other" manners, I'm not sure. I doubt you would be able to use it even if you did stumble across a burned copy and had a modded PS2 to read it.

I wouldn't recommend it, just to be on the safe side.

Oh ok, but it is still possible to use even though not safe?

Thanks
