They handled this whole thing like nothing happened.

Paterno finds out, says "report this bastard" like the administration was going to ... I would have been against any sanctions of any kind. I mean you can only hold yourself responsible for what you know.

instead it's "were PSU we can get away with it. "

Because this is how the NCAA has handled everything forever.

And what if they don't? Just because you wish for something to happen doesn't mean that it will. One person does not make an exodus. Now, if it happens that most of the team leaves, then the word has merit.

Yes I am personally satisfied with the decision. And most of all I want to congratulate Coach Bobby Bowden "the winningest coach in NCAA football". Great job NCAA.....you finally did something right for a change. LOL!

I'm glad the NCAA came down with this hammer. I feel bad for the current players, but they have the option of leaving or keeping their scholarships. This issue is bigger than a game and Penn St. should be lucky that they still have a football team. I can't imagine the horror that those kids went through. If Sandusky were a science teacher and the school new about it, he would've been fired, but since he was a part of their "Football Fraternity", they tried to cover it up. I know Penn State fans are upset, but try to show more compassion for the real victims... because it sure as hell ain't the fans, players, or current coaches.

Yeah, but the 4 year bowl ban means that a frosh will play at PSU and have no bowl opportunity unless they redshirt.

That might matter for a lot of people.

Yep, I too would like to congratulate Florida State on Bobby Bowden becoming the winningest coach in Division I football because a man raped a bunch of children.

Not sure where you get that assumption.

It isn't "illegal" to shower a recruit in benefits. It isn't "illegal" to cheat at football.

That's why we have the NCAA and their rules and their sanctions. When a member breaks the RULES they are sanctioned as a consequence and as a preventative action.

What happened at Penn State was criminal. People were breaking laws and covering them up. We have a criminal justice system to handle such matters.

I don't know how you jump to that assumption.
