Mike Riley?

If Riley got fired, Oregon State should just fold up shop. Riley is an amazing coach for what he is doing for them and they will not find a better, more loyal coach than Riley.

OTOH, I'm kinda surprised that Mack Brown is that low. Dude needs to do something this year or he's gone. Texas has been far too mediocre for what they should expect.

How is Edsall on the list after a year? I think next year is the first year he can even be on there really. Also, why is Marrone on there? He got them to their first bowl game in 6 years and their first bowl win in 9.

Also agree with OSU_Fan on the two he mentioned.

Edsall is on the list because the number of players that have left the Maryland football program since he was hired is absolutely preposterous. A record of 2-10 in the ACC in his first year doesn't really help either.

Doug Marrone? Mike Riley? I disagree.

Mack Brown was just in the MNC like 2 years ago and won the Rose bowl before that. He doesn't need to be on that list for at least another 2 years.

You're naturally gonna feel some heat if you aren't winning at least 9-10 games a year down in Hook'em land. I'll bet Mack will "retire" if UT doesn't win at least 9 games this year, even more so if some of the losses are giant blowouts/collapses.

Texas is one of the most fertile recruiting states in the country and Mack Brown basically gets whoever he wants and brings in a top 5 class just from recruiting that state, they reload every year. It's on him that they aren't competing for a MNC every single year

2 years ago, seriously? If that's the case, schools like USC/UCLA, UF/Miami/FSU, and hOSU should never have down years. Texas has pretty much been riding high since VY's rose bowl year until recently. I think Texas will be ok w/ 1or 2 down seasons. It's also not like he thought his QB's would grossly underperform since McCoy left.

This. Being a Texan I understand how huge UT football is down there, MB has a very high salary, if they aren't competing for championships its only natural for him to feel heat.
