Re: 2013 Recruiting Thread

The Rivals/VTO camps took place in both Alabama and Georgia this weekend. The Camp MVPs for both are current Auburn Defensive line commits. Dee Liner was the MVP of the Alabama camp. Carl Lawson was the MVP of the Georgia camp. Lawson didn't lose a single one on one during the camp in DL vs OL.

Liner is working hard on flipping Bammer TE commit OJ Howard to the good guys as well according to his interviews. I can dig it.

It looks like the Spring Game weekend might be another great weekend.

Re: 2013 Recruiting Thread

Notre Dame had a nice couple of days on the recruiting trail picking up 5 commits over the last 3 days. Bivin and Zaire are the headliners. Zaire was thought to be an OSU lock.

Hunter Bivin 4* OL
Coling McGovern 3* OL
Malik Zaire 4*QB
Mike McGlinchey 3*OL
Rashad Kinlaw 3* ATH

Also, don't know if it's been mentioned, but the son of David Robinson (of Navy/Spurs basketball fame) has also committed to ND. He'a a WR out of San Antonio.

Zaire was being slow-played because the staff has other QB's higher on their board. They wanted him to come in and throw at camp, but he's too good of a prospect for that IMO.

Do you think that Meyer might be neglecting Ohio? Seems like Michigan and Notre Dame have made a few incursions with the 2013 class.

I don't think he's neglecting it as much as he thinks he can find better players out of state. He's not willing to reach for in-state players as much as Tressel did, especially with the kind of pull he can have on national prospects.
