USC fans should be absolutely embarrassed, not just by this, but because Lane Kiffin has spent the last four months telling recruits he's seen the report and the sanctions and they're nothing serious. As if the world needed anymore confirmation that that guy is a certifiable scumbag. How many recruits did he lie to who would otherwise be at UCLA or Cal now, instead stuck to the LOI they signed and having to spend half their careers without any chance of a bowl now? What a joke.

100% agree. I know he had to say certain things to recruits to save the class, but he lied to each and every one of them. I dont think he knew that they would get hit, but I bet he told every one of them that there was absolutely no way that it would happen. It does suck for all those recruits that were told this and now they are faced with these sanctions that have nothing to do with them.

The whole direction of this program is not good. There's a cloud surrounding this team lately. I think hiring Kiffin was one of the worst PR moves they could've made, especially with all this going on.

I can forsee a time down the road one some lesser knows coach gets credit for "cleaning up the program." Just my gut feeling.

Lane Kiffin will kill USC. He's basically admitted he doesn't care about breaking secondary rules, but when you are on major probation you just can't do that. I just don't get how they could have hired him, especially considering he was around when these violations occurred.

Hah, I love hearing this news! But yeah, the new recruits really should be able to transfer without any penalty and without having to sit out a year IMO.
