He ranks sixth nationally with 106.57 receiving yards per game and his seven receptions per game ties for 14th in the country. Both top the Big East Conference. He also had 20 touchdown catches in his career, tied for second all-time at Syracuse with Marvin Harrison.
Marrone said he did not know if Williams had also left school and the university was unable to confirm that.

I was never a College athlete who was about to go to the NFL so i will probably not understand this but, WTF was this guy thinking. Seriously, there is like 4 games left in the season and you cannot man up and Finish? Williams was going to be a First Round Draft pick, and he goes ahead and pretty much throws away a few million dollars because this will hurt his draft stock.
Either way, Williams was pretty much Syracuse's only long ball threat. If i were playing against SU I would just put 8 men in the box and dare Paulus to throw past the line of scrimmage.

wtf...maybe he hit a wall with football and just doesn't enjoy it anymore? I don't know the whole situation, what I do know is he just quit on his team and coaches.

Actually, he probably completely slaughtered his draft stock.
That's career suicide if you walk out on your team in college.
I won't pretend like I know the entire story, but it certainly doesn't look good on the outside.

The Cuse board is in meltdown status.
Everyone believes is 100% academics and not because he has Paulus throwing to him.

It was probably Coach marrone, Alot of players have left the program already. This is probably not going to hurt too bad in the long run just because the team wouldnt win any more games with this guy, Paulus just isnt good enough and Williams was goin to the NFL after this season regardless. What Ever it is, I have a suspicion it was related to why he got suspended 2 weeks ago.

Dude just killed his chances of getting millions in his rookie contract. Someone will take a chance on him since he has the talent and he could be a big sleeper, but what is this dude thinking?

Wow, just stick it out for 4 more games. Don't know all the details, but he just lost a lot of money and he only had 1 month left of football at SU.

NFL teams will investigate this, perhaps he has a very good reason that really won't be that big of a concern. He is a big time talent, I can't see him falling past the 3rd Round with perhaps a team like New England grabbing him.

He reminds me of Larry Fitz when he played at Pitt, But I doubt that Williams has the work ethic to become a starter for any team.

I'd like to know how much Syracuse's being a bad team has to do with this. He probably has a good work ethic and just was pissed off about playing for such a pitiful team.
