This was a fun read. [Reply]

Didn't Ponder have a comeback win against Jacksonville State. That's all that needs to be said.

No doubt about it, TIM TEBOW [Reply]

Ponder.. No question in my mind really. He is already a drop back passer and has the legs to run the various option plays. [Reply]

Call me crazy, but I'll take the guy with more TDs, a better QB rating, more yards per completion, 1 Heisman, 2 National Championship rings, and a true leader.

I don't even like Tebow but the guy is a gamer. Let's not act like Ponder is working with the offense from Necessary Roughness. [Reply]

Do I really like Tim Tebow ? No.

Would I rather have him on my team then Christian Ponder ? Yes.

Does the creation of this thread make sense to me ? No. [Reply]

I asked my FSU fan friend last night who he'd take, and he said Tebow without even thinking about it.

If Tebow started for FSU, they would still be mediocre. Maybe slightly better or worse depending on if they had a OC who could take advantage of Tebow's gifts.

If Ponder started for UF, they would still be national championship caliber. Would they be as good as they were with Tebow...very likely not. They would still be much better than FSU.

Tebow is better than Ponder...that much is very obvious. That doesn't mean I wouldn't take Ponder over Tebow to run a straight pro style offense. [Reply]

Yeah although I agree Tebow is the better college QB. I the idea that he has that kinda success anywhere is crazy talk. He's a prefect fit for where he is and has had top 3 talent teams every year as a QB.(expect that So. year when Harvin got hurt) [Reply]

Ha, funny you mention that sophmore year. I remember something about that season what is it...... OH YEAH! He put the team on his back and had one of the greatest single seasons in CFB history and became the first sophmore to win the heisman! So the year with the least talent around him, he shows how good he really is. Thanks for making the pro-Tebow argument for us.

Edit: And oh yeah, I hate that I've had to bring this up like three times on here now, but Tebow was recruited everywhere, by coaches with all kinds of different systems. USC, Lane Kiffin talked earlier tthis year about personally recruiting Tebow when he was O-Coordinator at USC. He was the highest offeensive player on their recruiting board. Hence why the top offensive coach was personally recruiting him. So did Alabama, Michigan, FSU, alot of teams with pro style attacks offered him scholarsips and recruited him hard. Might have something to do with the fact that he has a very strong arm and has been in the upper echelon as far as accuracy and efficiency since he's been in college. He also doesn't turn the ball over. So you guys can have your "opinions" on how Tebow would do in a different system but I'll go with the opinions of the guys that make millions a year doing this stuff over internet analysts any day. I am "US" in this discussion. I said Tebow is better than Ponder. I had no problems with Tebow Heisman that year(other than the what 5 loses) nobody else stepped up that year he deserved it.

I dont think anybody is questioning can Tebow run a different system I think they're saying some QB's can run them better and that Tebow numbers are inflated by the offense and talent that he has at UF. [Reply]
