USF is fresh off a blowout loss to Pitt. WVU is fresh off a scare by UConn.

WVU better win this one, but I'm not so sure.

The WVU defense will probably make B.J. Daniels look like a combination of Peyton Manning and Michael Vick. I expect Daniels to have a career day and to throw for about 350 yards and rush for about 150. Seems par for the course. I mean, this D just allowed Cody Endres to throw for 380 yards this past week. CODY ENDRES! :-)

This game is on this Friday night. [Reply]

I like WVU, USF this happens every year to them. They just get into that mid-season slump. But it will be tough playing in Tampa. [Reply]

This is true, but WVU hasn't fared well against USF. WVU barely beat USF 13-7 last season in Morgantown and had dropped the two previous games prior to that meeting. In 2007, WVU played USF on a Friday night in Tampa and lost. That is identical to this meeting in that it will also be played in Tampa on a Friday night. The major difference is that USF was 4-0 then and ranked #18 while this time USF has already begun their annual slump and is 5-2.

Still, it will be interesting to watch B.J. Daniels have his coming-out party. He didn't look very good against Cincy, but I can rest assured that he'll look like a Heisman Trophy Winner on Friday night.

The USF school record for passing yardage in a game is 382 yards by Matt Grothe against Cincinnati in 2007. UConn QB Cody Endres threw for 380 yards against WVU last week (Endres' previous career high was 289 against Rhode Island and only had two career 200+ yard games going into last week's game). Fortunately, WVU intercepted Endres three times to negate some of the massive yardage. Hopefully, WVU can force Daniels into the same mistakes, even if they do let him throw for 400 yards and rush for 200. [Reply]

That's never going to happen. B.J. Daniels is a horrible quarterback. [Reply]

I'm predicting WVU in a tight game. Ya'll should play the freshman QB in place of Brown though. He lit up a pretty good Marshall defense a few weeks ago. [Reply]

Geno Smith did look good against Marshall. However, I still think Brown gives us the best chance to win, except when he throws a million interceptions like he did down in Auburn.

This will be Brown's first road game (well, besides Syracuse, but does that really count?) since the Auburn debacle. I hope he's learned his lesson and doesn't single-handidly lose the game again for the Mountaineers. He threw four interceptions and fumbled the ball once in the Auburn game (and one of the interceptions was a pick-six). He better not do that tonight or you can go ahead and chalk up another WVU loss. [Reply]

Yep, the Mountaineer defense is already turning B.J. Daniels into a Heisman winner. 7-7 now. I can't stand how terrible the pass defense for WVU is... [Reply]

Living up to my expectations thus far. Daniels looks like a Vick-White-Young hybrid. :-)

20-12 at halftime. Despite the poor defensive play, at least WVU is still very much in the game. [Reply]
