BYU > Notre Dame

I am appalled! I just heard Lee Corso say that he wouldnt put an undefeated BYU in the Mythical National Championship game over a one loss Notre Dame. What a joke! Corso clearly isnt the sharpest knife in the draw. But its this mindset that ruining the college game. You should not be rewarded for scheduling weaker teams just because of your schools name. If BYU runs the table and their the only undefeated team they belong in the MNC game period!

Ok you dont think I know that! They could very well lose the next 11 games both. My point is this mindset that just because your not in a BcS conference or have a historical and over rated school your MNC chances shouldnt be slim to none!

Notre Dame plays USC and Michigan just to name two teams.

BYU also beat an Oklahoma team without Sam Bradford and Jermaine Gresham. The jury is still out on them.

If BYU were to go undefeated and a one loss ND team were to go to the title game instead I would give up on college football.

BYU was without their starting tailback! And looked like the better team before Sam Bradford got hurt. Michigan went 3-9 last year the jury is still out on them. A victory against W.Michigan isnt ground breaking. BYU schudule is way tougher than Notre Dame. I would put an undefeat BYU team ahead of an undefeated Notre Dame team! Not that it matters because Notre Dame will lose atleast 5 games this season anyways.

Oklahoma wasn't exactly setting the world on fire with Bradford in the game. They were getting outplayed the entire game and BYU spotted Oklahoma their only TD and also fumbled at the one yard line.

BYU's RB was also out. Attrition is not exclusive just to Oklahoma.

Don't make excuses for why Oklahoma lost, because if Oklahoma was truly a good team, they could win it regardless of Bradford or Gresham.
You're right, it's only one week into the season and everyone seems to be already talking about BYU going undefeated, it is just too early. I hope they do, but it's a long season ahead and anything can happen.

I'm not making excuses for Oklahoma losing. But I am not putting much stock in BYU yet just because they beat a team that was missing the best passing QB in the country and his top receiving threat from last year. If Oklahoma was worth of the #3 ranking they would have won. But the jury is still out on BYU being this years Utah.

What was Oklahoma doing for the entire first half before Bradford was injured?
