Ole Miss at #8? Damn. Having a new contract goes a long way I guess.

Not really

Mississippi finished 1
4th last year.

Of the 13 teams who finished above them:

6 are still ranked ahead of them

3 were mid majors who are required to drop 10+ spots

4 lost a ton of talent (UGA, Texas Tech, Oregon, and Penn St).

I don't see Mississippi finishing #8 (I think they'll lose 3-
4 games and finish in the teens), but for a preseason poll, I don't see anyone aside from Penn St having a good argument for being ranked ahead of them.

I also wonder whether this massive media conspiracy hurt the SEC before the new contracts...

Rutgers and Notre Dame should be in the top 5 since they are going undefeated.

OU should be ranked somewhere from 22-25. They are going to finish 8-4. Andre Ware said so.

Re: Preseason AP Top 25 Poll Released

Ole Miss likely won't finish that high, but you have to like them in the preseason. From the time they beat Florida on they were one of the best teams in the nation and the return most of their key guys.

No and No, Notre Dame and Rutgers won't, plus OU is gonna be a 1-2 loss team.
